The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

what i'm doing bad?

I've changed "-maxconnections" on both hardcoded nodes. Now they accept 512 + 512 connections. Please try to restart.

Interesting idea, but the blockchain could be huge quite quickly. Are there any easy method to upload or read the data?

Tools will be build around the original client.
This could be awesome, and yes the blockchain can be big, but guys we are on the BIG DATA era. and nowadays 2TB and 3TB disks are pretty common.

Attach-function (bash script) can be taken from OP post, and simple QT frontend app can be compiled for this purpose  Tongue I can do that, but now I'm leaving my home computer... maybe anyone other helps? It's REALLY simple, you know

And yes, just to me this coin seems more useful than XPM in common sense (sorry SunnyKing  Roll Eyes ), because there is much more people who need some info stored in decentralized storage than  people who need  prime numbers

Not sure if I get it though, you pay for to store data in a block but data retrieval is of course free ?

If I got it right, you don't need to pay. You just need to make a transaction with data added. oocook5u , can you clarify that?

even if you do have to send 0.00000000000000000000000001 coins you can send millions for a cent or much less i guess?

The idea is excellent i really like it. Shame only 1meg but even so the chain will be huge.

This idea is very profitable for this coin. It doesn't need stores accepting it so much as other coins do. In near future, when difficulty goes high and there appears some decent price, the block reward will be reasonable reward for people who gives 500-1000-2000 GB of their own HDD space to store information.

Just a warning.

I believe the windows version contains some sort of Bitcoin stealing code in it.

I had 1.8XXX in my BTC wallet.

I had open both the Bitcoin wallet and the Datacoin wallet.

I attempted to transfer 1 BTC to BTER.  Currently, it is showing as an unconfirmed transaction - should have many confirms.

When I went to Blockchain.info I the transfer has 2 transactions.

1.  1 BTC to my BTER deposit address.
2.  .8XXX to another address.  This amount matched the remaining balance in my wallet.

Can someone confirm this?

YIKES  --- any truth in this??
