My last block was having 18.05 coins. It now shows over 6k blocks Shocked

That block was quite a while ago?

More than 3 hours back.

Oh, did you stop mining or just using an older cpu for this?  i think should still get a block more than every 3 hours or something went wrong.

VPS and Botnets started up from the beginning.

With XPM, it took some time for VPS to catch on.

How come the diff is still only on 7?  is this not weird shouldn't it have risen quite a bit more by now?

Upon further review and testing I've come to the conclusion that there is no wallet stealer in the win client.  Sorry, for the accusation, I've had like two hours of sleep and a little groggy.

Most likely what you were seeing was the one coin to the exchange and the change going back to your own wallet.

Good to know and thanks for telling us. Can't hurt to be wary anyway. Hope you found out what happened to your missing BTC.

Difficulty has stayed around 7 the whole time, but primecoin lowers the mining reward to adjust for network has rate doesn't it so perhaps that is also an indicator?

The last block I mined was 16.42 DTC (originally was > 20 DTC)

Not sure how to find out the total network hashrate.

Yeah considering the amount of blocks being found the diff seems to stay rather low.

As a concept at least, I think this coin will be pretty cool when there are tools for attaching/retrieving/browsing files all built in to the client. if I understood the developer's ideas Smiley

Yeah, aside from hunter coin which looks really interesting this is quite cool if had been released before the ton of other meaningless copycat coins it would have been huge news. It still could be once the client has a full tool set. Lots of interesting things possible with this really.

Were there no other datacoins (which store data in tx) already? If so, can you remind me please of their names?

Anyway, I like the coin and I would actually like to create a Blockexplorer (data browser).

How long will it take for the difficulty to catch up to where it's supposed to be? What's the adjustment factor?

Blocks flying like crazy, this reminds me of the Protoshares launch. Does anyone know if there is a stand alone miner that can be pointed at the wallet?

I think the older jhPrimeminer does work ... the recent ones all use custom protocols AFAIK

So this is basically torrents but instead of choosing which file you want to download, you have to download every single file?

Beyond stupid. Even more so once someone puts illegal content into the blockchain.

Not really like that, i guess more like a decentralised torrent hosting site, if combined with tor or something i guess impossible to shut off. I guess quite a lot of potential things can be done with it.
