Have you updated to the most current client? Have you added fresh nodes?

He provably refers to the web page, not his node.

I'm reading about Datacoin with interest. This may already have been mentioned but, any plans to add famous works to Datacoin? Shakespeare, Plato, that sort of thing. From there maybe an e-reader app and trying to get publishers interested.

i'm curious about this personal storage space.

and i've been thinking about p2p file sharing.
is it possible that one could store the data in their personal wallet, and should anyone wish to download that particular data, copy it to their personal wallet ?
so the blockchain would only store the data inf and address. then there would be short term data transfer between wallets.

this would be similar to pointing your torrent engine at a particular folder.

I'm developing one web application that will be heavily based on Data Coin features.
I would like to host it inside block chain, but I need to:
 - update my web files inside block chain from time to time
 - preferably, have web server installed with default DataCoin client(if this is not possible I will end up distributing my own copy of DataCoin client)
Any thoughts about 1st item?

coins/data need an editibility switch.
so original address can update such.

You can find that works on some places, it could be a nice marketing thing but i'm not sure that it would have real value.

How is this coin coming along?  I have been CPU mining this for a month and built up a few dozen with the hopes publishing something inside.  How does one go about performing this transaction?  Are there any applications built on top yet?

I haven't seen anything from the dev in quite a while. He seems like more of a hardcore programmer than a PR guy though, so he's probably still working away.
If you're interested in uploading things to the block chain, you might want to check out https://krypte.net

another thing I haven't been clear on, what party is hosting the files?

An online wallet which is connected to the network does the file transfer, correct?  The miner doesn't consume bandwidth related to the files in the block chain right?  If so is it appropriate to only reward the miner with the coin?  Shouldn't the wallet user who transferred and hosted the storage also catch a piece, if not arguably a large portion of the block reward?

I adapted my primecoin calculator to a datacoin calculator.

You can find it here: http://anty.info/datacoin-calculator/.

Let me know if you need an additional feature for datacoin!
