There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Hi,

I've made new pool for datacoin.
Pool is designed for GPU and uses madmax's miner (fastest primecoin miner available).
You can get miner here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602292.0

In miner config.txt use:

server ip: 92.222.24.57, port: 6666, as address use your datacoin address.

Web stats are here: http://92.222.24.57:6680/
Pool will send coins to your datacoin address when you mine more than 11 DTC, when they have mature to 100 confirmations. With GPUs that will be faster than you think :-D

Sample miner working:
Work received: height=339420 diff=9.7432844 latency=32ms
GPU 0 found share: 7-ch type 2
GPU 0 found share: 8-ch type 2
Share accepted.
Share accepted.

Use on your own risk! Good luck and have fun!

Marcus.

It is being worked on but I am mostly focusing on establishing Riecoin. I need a list of people who are interested on being on the foundation.

Payouts could not work because pool has no "real" mature coins in balance to give.
If someone would like to give his own DTC to pool there would be instant payouts from pool funds, after finding block you have to wait like 1 day for that block to being mature.
I tested it, you just have to wait.

Do you think the one day the entire internet could be hosted on datacoin?  I know there will be a limited amount of space on the datacoin blockchain, but if you create like a megadatacoin fork that can store 1000x as much data per coin that can only be created by combining 1000 datacoins for a fee that goes back to the miners, could you extend datacoin storage capacity to infinity while keeping the strict limits in place for mining them?  You could create gigadatacoins and teradatacoins along the same 1000x protocol too.  How big of a fee could there have to be for such a datacoin 1000x upgrade to sustain the storage capacity of all data on the internet today?

No. The "Internet" cant be stored and this will never be possible.

I don't see why the internet can't be stored.  After all, the internet is just data going from one place to another and datacoin is designed to store data.  Wouldn't it really just be a matter of scaling datacoin to that level with the right programmers?  I think one day the whole internet will be on datacoin and every time you transfer some data across the internet you would pay a fee to upload to the blockchain from your datacoin balance.  The new datacoin hosted internet would be way faster, more efficient, and allow more freedom.  It would be so much better that the old internet would not be used anymore.  You wouldn't have to worry about not having enough datacoin to contribute to the internet because an advertiser could donate some datacoin to you to watch their ad and then you could use that earned datacoin to contribute.

I have no clue. But seeing as how Maxsolnc still owns the datacoin.info domain I assume so. Itd be great if the dev shows up here to post a post of confidence.
