I think you can using Odin. Rooting/installing custom ROM isn't that hard nowadays. There's nothing that can go wrong (unless you go full retard and unplug your phone halfway through Tongue)
That's not a normal update then and has it's risks.
Yes there is plenty that can go wrong, you obviously don't have enough knowledge on this matter.

Android powers me but i vote for IOS, it is faster better and it doesent stuck like android.

Except Android is better on NEXUS phones

I know it is outdated, but it is not useless yet. I am currently waiting to see whether Ubuntu will gain traction, if not, I will most likely go for the next generation of Android phones with 500+ PPI screens (I want to see this in person) and water resistance.
