Hey guys - Has anyone had any experience with purchasing bitcoin from coinbase? I was considering linking my bank account with the site in order to purchase BTC. Has anyone had any experience with purchasing from coinbase?  Tongue

Coinbase is pretty good. You can link your bank account. For the first month you have a limit of 1 BTC per day. Which should be waived once you verify your identity.

You should check the Service Discussion section. Quite a few people who aren't that happy about Coinbase.

Doesn't Coinbase just sell you numbers on a screen as opposed to real BTC?

I would not be holding an significant balances with them.

I've used coinbase for a few months now and haven't had any problems. I do buy through them and keep a small amount there, and transfer the rest to other wallets so I feel more secure.

I was just activated today. They raised it up to 10 buys per day and 50 sells for Level 1.

Never use web wallets...

No signature ad here, because their conditions have become annoying.

Here is one of the coinbase threads: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325021.0

It looks like they at least responded but many people are having problems.

I was considering opening up an account there as well, but now I'm not so sure.  Looks like it may have been a lot of people looking to sell into this run up in price.

Good Luck!

I have about 6 dollars worth of faucet money on coinbase and I'm still skeptical about linking my bank account with them  Tongue
