This is a really good deal.  I'd buy at least 5 today but I don't get paid until Friday   Cry

I posted a request on the NCIX forums to see if they would extend the offer until Friday.  If you're like me and can't order them today, might want to do a reply to my post on the NCIX forums and help get it noticed.  Worth a shot...

To be honest it will probably be a miracle if they aren't sold out by friday. This is the best deal for the 5850 I have seen in 2 months and its a sapphire.

Deal was up until 7-27 they must have changed it back. Still isn't a bad deal but not nearly as great.

Why spend $$ when you could spend bitcoins?  Ercolinux has 5850s for just over 12.0 BTC!
Suddenly seeming like a pretty good deal?? lmao.  I bought one today, since I get about 1.5 BTC per day I think i'll buy one off him every couple weeks for sure.

I could get a 6870 with an aftermarket cooler and voltage control for $180. Is this a better deal over the 5850 for $175?

I would rather have a 6870 personally, but i suspect the 5850 is the better miner.  6870 will have more resale value down the road and better for gaming.
While a 5850 wont have any value to gamers down the road it will still hold its value pretty well with miners because it's one of the best cards you can get.

They do not ship to the U.S

Which makes bigb159 more of a douche for trying to sell a largely useless tip to the majority of people here.

You need to chill man. The deal worked for me. Am I the only one here who finds that you're an overly angry person?

Bigb159. I am amazed someone who its still a white listed junior member is being so rude. You offer information any member here is capable of finding and then insult those who called you out on your shady deal. It its users like you that disgust me most here being both rude and insolent.

If you found that funny or something i said useful i always appreciate spare change

I'm not sure where you're getting all that from. Have i breached some kind of unspoken etiquette I had previously been unaware of? Let's walk you through the steps here, shall we?

1. I announce that I have a link that works for me. Does this make me rude and insolent?
2. I request a small commission to share the link that I spent my good time in finding. If you were too poor you could just say so and I'd give you the link. Is it this part that paints me as rude or insolent?
3. A couple courteous persons request the link by pm, send me a donation, and find it doesn't work. No problem, I refund their money. Sounds pretty rude to me...
3. I get called a "Dumbfuck" in two threads as well as a "douche" by a troll who has a crappy life and needs someone to take it out on. Who is the rude one here? Really?
4. The deal [THAT WORKED FOR ME BTW] is called shady by a crapload of people who wouldn't get the balls to even click the link. Erm, rude? Me?

Seriously? I like to think some can see the reason in this. I too have noticed a generous amount of rudeness here, more than I generally feel like dealing with, and were it not for the good information I find on the page, I would be gone from here.

As it is, I can deal with the indecent and angry people for now, insofar as I continue to bump into the occasional helpful person.

You were holding the link hostage you weren't asking for donations you wanted to be paid. I also feel like you had no intention of giving up that link for free or you'd have lost your bargaining chip.
3. A couple courteous persons request the link by pm, send me a donation, and find it doesn't work. No problem, I refund their money. Sounds pretty rude to me...
Again a donation is paying some one for something thats free not paying first then receiving a service. Also it's shady because lets be honest you have to pay for a link that most likely wont work for you. Regardless of the fact that you may or may not have refunded them. They paid for a service that wouldn't work for them because you weren't honest that it was a Canada only site.
3. I get called a "Dumbfuck" in two threads as well as a "douche" by a troll who has a crappy life and needs someone to take it out on. Who is the rude one here? Really?
To be fair the dude might have gotten carried away lol
4. The deal [THAT WORKED FOR ME BTW] is called shady by a crapload of people who wouldn't get the balls to even click the link. Erm, rude? Me?
No one said the deal wouldn't work but it is a Canadian site. Did you expect the majority of people to be able to use it? As to clicking the link part I have no clue what your talking about I actually checked to see if it had shipping to the US.

Regardless of my view of asking for donations(which I think is pathetic unless your releasing major software that took 8-10+ hours to make) you weren't asking for a donation.
