No one can predict accurately what will happened so you can't get an answer here or elsewhere. Just look at 2017 performance, did anyone even knows that from $1,000 price level it will reached around closed to $20,000? So if we look at today's price, we are in $6,000+ price so just do the comparison to give you some insights although it's just a reference and not an assurance that reaching $20,000 will happened this year.

What's your goal? Do you have an active hold bitcoins? If your sole purpose "for now" is to just hold then just do it no matter where the price should go. Also it doesn't matter if $20,000 value will not reached this year as long as it has always possibility to reached.

This is hard to say. bitcoin prices will definitely return to 20k, and even higher, but this year it's hard to say. The current price is very volatile.Prices may be lower this year

We know very well that bitcoin is not on the easier path of development. There will always be the FUD's, political pressure , government pressure and all kinds of bad stuff mostly will kill the bitcoin at various stages. Many times this restricts the bitcoin getting spiked and thus drops it down to low world.

There is no way we can surely state the answer for this question and also there will never be an answer - the true one.

I see this gappening since from 7000$ last mid year it pumps into 10000$ plus. Due to the news that has been spread worldwide that sooner banks will acquire Bitcoin as partnof their system ,demand for Bitcoin will increase and of course same with the price, we should all be ready for it to come and work hard as of now, so you can have a double amount of profit.

Even though the senior members can't predict the bitcoin prices because we don't have power to see the future.But price dump is normally happened with bitcoin in the past too and recovered itself sooner or later,so hopefully that will happen this year also.Don't confuse too much lets HODL together.

I hope so but in the case right now, there is no tendency that the price will fluctuate around 20K USD. I think that the crash will continuously move until the Q4 and the price will not recover anymore.
Anyway, we are just at the beginning of the year 2018 and a lot of things may change whether it will surge or decline. But whatever will be the result, I will buy and hold bitcoins!

The bitcoin has dropped significantly faster compared to how it was rising, My personal thought on the question is that bitcoin will rise back to 20k or even more but not this year.

I'm sure that bitcoin will hit more than 20000$ in this year I predict that the value of it will hit 50000$ before the year ends even the market is unpredictable you will see it on the technical analysis and base on the movement of the bitcoin the bitcoin was getting the resistance to recover and to move forward.

i read from a post that say btc will reach $ 100k this year, but i personally rate this as difficult to realize, but if to reach above $ 20k, i think it is possible, because btc must break through the resistance in order to continue trend up

Bitcoin is really unpredictable because of it's votality but since it almost reached that value before, I believe that it still has the potential. I look forward to a more successful year for bitcoin. I wish that it would repeat it's history to rise up again after it's downfall in the beginning of this year. Bitcoin has proven us a lot and we just have to trust it.

The price of bitcoin is not based on wishing. If you want to see a gain in valuation then YOU are going to have to do something. How many retailers have you spoken with about taking bitcoin? Are you buying stuff with your bitcoin of just trading it back and forth with fiat? Bitcoins price is just right for how it's being used. Want more? Do more.

$20000 is a large leap in price but not as large as the increase enjoyed last year. Perhaps a bit unrealistic to expect $20000 but hopefully an increase this year.

No Can it recover to $10.000? this year I am not sure about it. Actually bitcoin has never been $20.000, it was just a bubble for me so I never ask myself that if bitcoin reach $15.000 or $20.000 again.
