We are just on the second quarter of the year and we still have a long time before the year ends. The tax day on U.S is about to end, who knows if investor will pump bitcoin again after April 17. I really think the same pattern will happen on crypto this year and might even exceed it's ATH since more and more people and businesses are adapting crypto.

I think the end of the year is going to be a rapid rise again. In the event of a rapid rise, 20,000 levels are passed and 25,000 targets begin. I am willing to admit that the payment of tax liabilities could push down the prices of cryptocurrencies. But I'm not sure that US users can have such a huge impact on the price of cryptocurrencies. I think that the reason for the fall in prices is due to the fact that governments are increasing their pressure on users of cryptocurrencies and large capital is looking for a more anonymous place.

Although some people think that the price of Bitcoin is the result of manipulations performed by "whales", and maybe it is so to some extent, I strongly believe that the main factor here is the demand from people at large. There are around 100 million potential Bitcoin users willing to invest from $1,000 to $10,000 in BTC but restraining themselves from doing so seeing the negative publicity Bitcoin gets and ignoring the good news at the same time. It is in the nature of every human being to be over cautious about anything which is new. Yes, Bitcoin is still in its early phase of adoption. According to a research produced by the University of Cambridge, there were from 2.9 to 5.8 million unique Bitcoin users in 2017, which less than 0.1% of the World population. Of course it would be a bold statement to say that Bitcoin will be used by 100% of the World population in the foreseeable future, but it can be used by around 10% easily, and when that happens the demand will rise 100 times and hence the price. I'm not saying this will happen in 2018, but I'm pretty sure that when people will realize that none of the biggest crypto-market players, like China, South Korea, Singapore, Japan and the U.S., is going to ban Bitcoin the demand will start rising exponentially. I think this can happen in 3-5 months, so the BTC price can hit another all-time high this year.

Last 2017 the same Quarter in the present bitcoin was fluctuating around 2K down to 1K USD see the difference in the present term? it sits around 6K plus now though it is not good as the all-time high 20K it maintains itself for that ranges of the price given by the fact that some factors are obviously affecting it negatively it manages to survive 7K USD is great compared to one thousand dollars and if you are a holder that manage to survive this far lucky for you 600% plus return of investments.

The disadvantage of crypto is, its sudden drop and up. Fluctuations are happen from time to time and this is why Bitcoin has reached again with this value. Well, we already witness some impossible about the power of Bitcoin and I think we need to stick with that. Also, we are still in second quarter of the year and if you would only see the graph of crypto in previous years it is more likely the same. So, I am confident to say that it will reach again this year.

As per the previous yearly movements BTC has always reached a high at the year end. So hoping history would repeat itself, December 2018 may make this possible, or even much earlier also it can happen. I would say even we see it or even we may see further dip, but very soon we will see it rise again like as it does. Stick to BTC and cryptocurrencies.

I dont see it happening this year. I think we will first find a bottom of this downtrend. then we will go sideways, and continue up.

regulation of bitcoin is the main reason for this legendary decline(more than 50%) but much good news floating:

• low fee: Bitcoin fees are the cheapest for a long time
• LN: may be running, which will cause a rapid rise in price
• many good events: First IEEE Workshop on Blockchain Technologies and Applications & Blockchain Developer Conference 2018
• Price correction: after a long-term decline, the price must rise to stability point (8,000$ or 10,000$)

No, I do not think so. We were in a bubble and the sooner people realise it, the better it will be for them. Bitcoin went up from $1000 to $20000 on the basis of hype. Now we have corrected and it will take some real positive drivers for it to grow. Expect this to happen in years, not months.

There is a huge possibility of gaining the same amount like last year did, though it will be much harder now to gain that price as we all know there are so many people and groups that wants to regulate bitcoin, also some government and their country dont want to have bitcoin on their place.
But who knows soon?

Hoping for the bets is no doubt a very good thing and that it can surely help you in having some better results as well. Bitcoin is very much capable of having a good market value and that it is just a matter of time. bitcoin will have a good market value soon and that we all will be able to have a greater profit than but for that we need to remain patient and we need to keep on holding our coins.

Well being an extremely volatile currency to invest in can only mean massive peaks and dips. Just as it was at 1k  just last year and it went from that up like 2000% in months means it has tge potential to do something sinilar again even if its not 2000% this time and maybe 1500% or something. Lets say it dips down to a minimum of 3k this year but then goes up 1500% which is less than last year when it was lower even, thats an easy $40k peak, but as we all should know, this isnt something predictable. However, i do believe “history repeats itself”. We will see this year

IMO it's impossible now to happen due to some whales that always manipulate the price and especially Fud's that always intimidate some holders in the market to panic sell, and as you see the price seems to collapse gradually back to cheapest price which is after fluctuation the price drop 11k then the price drop to 10k and next it drops again to 8k and now 6k , so for sure soon when it fluctuate again it will plunges below 6k .but I'm hoping it will happen. .

I think this is possible, people think that Bitcoin will end soon or sooner, didnt they know ups and downs of the price is nature of its currenxy whixh also help for it to continuously increase, speculations sprout even a single pump, negativity affects a lot. I believe it will be 20000$ again and wait ofr the pump as they say it will start in mid year.

Even though the senior members can't predict the bitcoin prices because we don't have power to see the future.But price dump is normally happened with bitcoin in the past too and recovered itself sooner or later,so hopefully that will happen this year also.Don't confuse too much lets HODL together.

It's more like a price correction then a "dump".
Bitcoin has been going up from 800$ to 6600$ during the last year( if we take in count exactly one year back from 7/4/2018.), which shows a really strong buy trend, if you are looking at the yearly chart you are going to see this trend.

As a long term investor I always make my price predictions with the yearly chart because I know that I am going to hold bitcoin for a long time,it's never so accurate but it helps me as it is something that I can believe.

Yes if you looking back the chart price of bitcoin compared to other years it has a similarity in price movement in the market so there's no reason that bitcoin will hit again the highest price in the market. I really hate to predict the price movement in the market because we know that the price of bitcoin is unpredictable. But we have a comparison to conclude the price and that is the price value last year.
