Who knows? Speculation will remained speculation until it will happened therefore also applied in making predictions. The effect of news, FUD, speculations etc. will depend on how the community will react.

No matter what's the positive speculation is, people can consider at the current price rate since waiting too much for a target might wreck their strategy. Yes sometimes a price dip happened after we buy at a certain price level but on the other hand it doesn't always the case.

As long as people understand the risks of buying bitcoin, then just go ahead and fill up their stash no matter what the rotating speculation is.

I have heard similar thing few days ago from a friend, about Tax Day in US and everything. But if I learned something from things that happened in near past is that, we shouldn't trust anyone but our selves and few people that we really trust. I don't deny that I have pessimistic view, and I become sceptical about all news that consider bitcoin. I don't say this couldn't happen, damn I would be really happy if price of bitcoin starts rising. But who knows what will happen, guess we will know for sure after 17th.

Oh yeah, really? What has that tax issue got to do with the price of Bitcoin? Nah! Nothing. I don't see how apart from people trying too hard to make themselves relevant around cryptocurrency by all means through hypothesis that don't seem relevant. It's either Lee wants to FOMO for a bullish run or he simply doesn't truly know how Bitcoin works. It's a correction we have now and things will get back to tracks once it is done.

Better if you will share the link for our common understanding here in the forum so that we could make some of our own better conclusion of this prediction but this is better than FUD because this kind of progress will help to make the Bitcoin market to become stable that even a tiny progress of it will be consider a huge help to attract people to continue investing in Bitcoin.

People always find a [random] reason behind the massive BTC selling and when it will reverse. First, it was the Chinese New Year, then it was regulations and the G20 summit, now it's the tax season    

Tom Lee is known for being extremely bullish, he knows the average joe believes in whatever the so called "experts" say, so he's trying to spread a bullish sentiment among the panic sellers and weak hands. Don't get me wrong, I like optimism, but to predict the day (April 17) when the downtrend is going to stop is too much, at the end of the day, you can't predict what's going to happen in the crypto market. So I have to disagree with Tom Lee, the price will go up whenever the market decides.

I complety agree with you. I don't believe anything what those so called bitcoin experts say as 99% of the times they are wrong. The market will decide if the price declines further or goes up again.

I have read this argument back in February or March If I'm not mistaken. That's why everyone is so bullish about this month. But to be honest, I'm not sure that it will bring a impact to the struggling market as we are not sure if people in the US are will to pour more cash in this situation.

But if things are right, so let's see this dip as a good time to invest more while we  can. Because all predictions points that bitcoin will surge ahead in the next coming months to better stock up your file and see how it pans out in the future.

No for many reasons. Bitcoin has no direct tax, it's in terms of capital gains. There's much bigger fish to fry than just this. You'll figure out soon enough. The price so stable but yet people are bitching about it even when they know that's what they actually want.
