a major issue that i have encountered is that the freelancers go for buying the reviews. Which results in the spamming, and affects the authenticity of the freelancer's work.

This is a bad practice and I would rank it as unethical. as it not only comes under the spam but affects the buyers who give work under the impression of reviews.
