Maybe not yet, i let it run the whole day, and while the new v8 is fine, i still got some bad shares on Heavy, looks like i need an extra fix. i advise you skip your tests for now, unless you target v8.

edit: i noted all the results after a full day of mining, and all new features are good but heavy on modern cards, probably a back regression due to the hd7000 perf restore. i got good results after 1h of mining but the 24h average is 1% lower, i need to fix that.
on hd7000 the b10 is 2% better than b9 and on Zen i got the 0.6% extra perf too. same for v8 on rx about 0.4%
if you're only targetting heavy on RX, skip b10 for now.
Yes, ok. Waiting next version with modern cards heavy fix. Thank you for your hard work!

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I took time to test and bench, and while i could have restored the perfs of the b9, no way to get extra effective hash rate. i could fix the false positive that caused the effective to be 3% lower than theorical (instead of the normal 0.9% fee + 1% stale) but at the cost of 1% instant performance, which lead to the same final efficiency. i may find new ways to improve later, but so far on rx it's very possible srb took the current lead. i didn't try on vega.
i should release a b11 that restore the rx speed but since the b9 is still online, no urge. next version will be the cpu 0.33h
i suspend Heavy dev for now, i want to take time to apply my power optims for v8. i won't beat TeamRed but it should provide better efficiency overall.

Update for bittube.

Miner uptime 73:06:04 (73 hours)
Effective net hashrate 3457.39 h/s
Devices results - Shares Accepted/Ignored/Rejected - Net Hashrate
GPU 0 - 1923/1/0 - 871.81 h/s
GPU 1 - 1823/0/0 - 827.56 h/s
GPU 2 - 1878/0/0 - 854.14 h/s
GPU 3 - 1988/0/0 - 903.85 h/s

Pool says 3,45KH/s for the last 24hs.

this is very consistent, but what say the instant hashrate? it should be 102% of the effective, depending on your pool aggresivity
on the b9 it was rather 103+% which is bad, but i found why. the b10 provides a lower hashrate on RX but a more consistant effective.

The pool looks only for 15mns, 2Hs, 24Hs HR. In 15 mns, it can be less than 2KH/s or more than 4,5KH/s. Difficulty around 110K.

I just switched to another algo (Haven).

thanks, now the maths:
3540/3457 = 1.024

That extra 2.4% should be <2% but that's not as bad as i expected. the next gpu will have a value <2%, i already have a fix, i just don't want a full release just for a cosmetical problem.

i'll take a look at that new turtle thing, thanks!

Guys,

how is JCE now compared to TRM for Vega and CN8?

I was mining Heavy algos with JCE prior to latest "crypto crash" but now I am mining Monero again as the network hashrate dropped considerably, suing TRM. How is JCE now, was there any progress in performance and consumption compared to TRM?

Hi,

Interresting point.
so far i still consider TeamRed a better bargain since its perf is on par with mine (in a very close range, i saw 0.5% above or below depending on cases, but maybe i didn't configured TR at best, and this is quite the same versus srb on Heavy) but its power draw is a lot lower.

i giveup Heavy optim for now and focus back to v8. the next release will be a Zen optim for cpu, then an optim for v8 on Hawaii and above, as i already optimized the HD7000 in b8+. but this one will take a lot more time.

i'll take a look, i already have to add the new Turtle coin, and the AscendingNight.
The last one, Cryptolight-Dark, seems to be dead, i didn't find any pool to mine on any longer. Waste of time... Cry

@vmozara
forgot previously: look at the b10, it contains some changes for vega on V8. I say changes and not optimizations since i got mixed results when testing, but i'd be very interrested by your feedback Wink

I cannot read russian, but i guess you have 850 h/s instead of 1200 or your RX580 8G, so :

1. Retry with only one card enabled, to check it's not a memory page file issue
2. Check you switched to Compute Mode
3. Are your cards patched with memory tweaks, like PBE or Ubermix ?
4. Try with beta=8
5. Ensure you're using version b9 or b10
6. Try with multi_hash 928

@Unclwish: you speak russian and have some RX580 8G, right?
Would be nice if you could share your config with him, in case he can't read english.

change beta 16 to beta 8. I have 12 rx580 8gb. And run 033b10

I tried beta 16 and hash very low compared to beta 8.

Also some companies card hash slightly lower. Aka gigabyte 1120 hash compared to Samsung 1230

Thanks a lot for the russian reply, so fast Wink

I'm on CPU version for now, losing time with the AscendingNight fork, whose even the reference miner is broken, funny to read in the ticket:
https://github.com/jceminer/cn_cpu_miner/issues/30

but i still want to do it, every coin need a chance, and they asked politely.
However as I said there, i'm making the CPU 0.33h with no extra fork, and will re-release a new one after.

I may release the b11 GPU too, with the speed of b9 and effective hashrate consistency fixed. I benched to be >98% rate pool side, fees deduced, which is correct. In that case, i'm on par with SRB on big RX, if there a difference, it's negligible. On lower cards, i'm above, didn't had time to bench on Vega.

Hi JCE Miner, I wish on your next version will have the algo of CN-lite V7 for FREDcoin (FRED). I'm looking forward to it. Thank you.
Isn't that the regular CN-Light-v7, which is --variation 4 on JCE, already avaible for six months ?
I'll just add the coin itself in the list of known coins, but otherwise it's already possible to mine it.

Quote
--variation parameter must be in range 0-18
    0 = Automatic
    1 = Original Cryptonight
    2 = Original Cryptolight
    3 = Cryptonight V7 fork of April-2018
    4 = Cryptolight V7 fork of April-2018
    5 = Cryptonight-Heavy
    6 = Cryptolight-IPBC (obsolete)
    7 = Cryptonight-XTL fork of May-2018
    8 = Cryptonight-Alloy fork of May-2018
    9 = Cryptonight-MKT/B2N fork of May-2018
   10 = Cryptonight-Arto/Fest fork of May-2018
   11 = Cryptonight-Fast MSR fork of June-2018
   12 = Cryptonight-Haven fork of June-2018
   13 = Cryptonight-BitTube v2 of July-2018
   14 = Cryptolight-Red fork of July-2018
   15 = Cryptonight V8 fork of Oct-2018
   16 = Pool-selected Algorithm
   17 = Cryptolight-Dark fork of Nov-2018
   18 = Cryptonight-FreeHaven fork of Nov-2018

About the next Turtle, it looks like a mix between CN-Dark and Monero v2, not hard to make, but i'll wait there's a test pool or a reference miner online. If there is, i didn't find it, feel free to write down a link here.
