While asleep last night I had my first bitcoin night mare.  I was on a beach in florida at night with my laptop and I had about 200 bitcoins in my wallet  For some reason (dreams dont make sense)  I left my computer and walked off.  While I was gone I realized I forgot my computer on the beach and that I didn't back up my wallet.

When I got back to the Beach it was daytime and it was full of old people.  Each old person on the beach had the same computer bag as me.  I didn't care, I tried going through everyones computer bag to find my bitcoin computer.  Old people were punching me pulling my hair telling me to get lost.  I woke up sweating.  Bitcoin nightmares are scary. Sad

I actually had a nightmare last night about writing a bitcoin client implementation in erlang :p I don't know why anymore, but it was very stressful Smiley

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through FileBackup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

What's the opposite of a nightmare? I had that a couple of days ago – I had around 100 bitcoins and price went up to $100!
Was a nice feeling  Cheesy

erlang as in the language developed by Ericsson for interacting with AXE's. Maybe you are dreaming up a new backend charging system for pay-as-go phones based on bitcoin.

Every night before I go to sleep, I have nervous sweats and shakes. I know the next morning, before my money gets to Mt Gox, the price will drop by half ,then by the time I wake up, it will be half way back to where it was, then by the time my money clears from Dwolla to Mt Gox, the price will be $3.00 higher than it was before.

I wish it was just a nightmare.   Angry

Then I wait 3 days, it does not change, starts to climb, I buy, spend all my money, then it plummets to $5.75 or $7.50.

I wish that was a nightmare, too!   Cry

Why does Bitrebel have 65+ Ignores?
Because Bitrebel says things that some people do not want YOU to hear.

Actually had a dream last night that I was watching a tornado come acroos the field towards my house. Once I figure out that its going to hit, I ran back to my room to grab my phone, stopped at the pc to get a fresh copy of my wallet.dat and check the prices before running down the basement.
