Hide Thread Feature

There is also a post requesting the feature as far back as 2014. 

My question is, how feasible is it to add such a feature and can we expect to see it anytime soon?  I would love the ability to filter out or hide all the ICO topics lingering in coin announcements (IMO ICOs should be a child board anyway)

Does anyone know if these posts here regarding new forum software and features that have been requested since 2014 are being considered seriously for implementation?  The diminished search functions and "page to large to print" stuff should add sufficient justification for features that would be less demanding on servers while providing efficiencies to users.

Or maybe hiding threads is more workload on servers.  I don't really know for sure.  I just know it's currently really difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff.

like many of Local boards, some Altcoin section and fe other parts
