Yes, you are right. Some people invest in some coins and they not even know what is the concept or the team behind the project. This is what I used to do when I was a newbie and I had known cryptocurrencies recently. However these coins can be useful for traders in short-term. Some worthless coins can be more profitable than potential coins in short term because of pumps and dumps. Some coins with low market cap can be easily manipulated by whales.

For everyone to invest, i think there should be a good research, one needs to gather some info about the project which include: how strong the team are, also the quality of their product, whether it is future usable.

The main thing is that you have to tell yourself not to invest in attractive design and marketing hooks, you should only invest in a final product. If a project doesn't have a product, it isn't even worth your attention. Of course, design and other related things are important, as they show the developers' real treatment of their project, but focus on the main things.

I think there are so many parameters which have great affects on the campaigns. Before any kind of investments, I think all of the traders should know how to do a detailed research about icos.

You are right. That's why Facebook Google and Twitter bans crypto ads because people are just pouring their cash into something that they doesn't think about, all they know is that crypto ICO will make them rich, unfortunately, 90% of them are scams so in the end, they are going to lose because they didn't make enough research on a certain project.

We have been telling this all along, do your homework, research everything about the project.  The team behind, the whitepaper, roadmaps etc. Because its your hard earn money, you need to be careful so that it will not be burned that easy.

I totally agree on this, and guilty of buying any coin I see. I learned that to be able to get a good coins demand a lot of reading. Look for reviews and people's opinion about that kind og project.I have now coins that already dump in value and cant decide wether I'll sell it now ir still wait for it to boost in price. The team who works in the project really matters,  they should be actively involve specially in updating investors.

Actually I never buy an ICO token, i just wait until they hit the exchange sometimes the price cheaper than the ICO price, and by that i can guess if they really have something to do with the token or they just create token to make money for them.

I disagree, it's perfectly acceptable to trade in dodgy coins long as your not mistaken that they're a load of rubbish and hand them off soon as you've taken the desired profit. There's been a couple of ICOs I Invested in upon further research to find they were a bag of trash but still made a profit because I wasn't greedy when selling them.

I still agree with the post. As long you are investing. The better the longer. I long term for really good project you are a winner. Instead buying coin, prefer talking about investing long term vs buying coin

Completely agree to OP here.
First, one must understand the project they are planning to invest it, do some research, if you cant read complete whitepaper, try for 1pager or technical paper.
Look out for the team behind it, there partners, and how good they are in marketing as well.

A lot of people get trap in pumps and dumps, they invest without having the slightest idea about where they are investing and what is the project about.

Trading will not gain steady income, and even it makes our money value is unstable if we have that money in form of altcoins. There is no certain conditions of those altcoin. All is depends on God and its project. All investors are really need to read the Whitepaper first before invest their money in any altcoin.

Proper research definitely needs to be done on whatever coin you wish to buy. So that you won't end up buying a shit coin. Although there are coins good to short term investments, while some are good for long term investment.

this is the reality. Crypto projects are presenting serious value to the world, but only a tiny fraction will survive once the market truly blossoms.

The amount of research needed to put into a project to make an investment decision is extensive and even, something better could pop up 2 weeks later.

The majority of icos participants are using short pump momentump to go out from there as fast as possible after the price of coin will reach the ico price and it should have given them all decent profit because they are all buying at big bonus.
That's why to do analisys for every ico just like an obligation to the investor right now,
