When we think of a regulated usage of cryptocurrency, automatically what we expect is to be under a centralized system. When someone begins to govern us, automatically the goodness will be ruined with the benefits being enjoyed by a certain group of people who were in the higher level same as that we see in the corporate network.

I actually don't think that it's true because crypto market already attracted extremely big players, and did it by it's volatility.

I got your point. That case is mostly happening right now wherein the benefits are only abused by people in the higher positions. As with bitcoin,i think it has already attracted its investors whether big or small. Its volatility has remained to give thrill to the people when prices suddenly rise up or may go down in just a minute.

Obviously as an investor you understand there are risks but out of all the exchanges out there, i can think of 2-3 that I would personally trust with my money and in my case we are only talking about thousands, imagine a big player with millions using etherdelta or some other retarded exchange, no way that will ever happen. Even big exchanges like bittrex, not long ago, they fucked up and made everyone wait months and months to get your account enabled or verified. Why would any big player invest in crypto when the risk is so huge, there is literally zero safety, any exchange can run away with your money and you can barely do anything.

Cryptocurrency is increasingly recognized, by many societies in the world. People's interest in cryptocurrency is generally as an investment, which in fact has only increased rapidly after the bitcoin exchange rate soared.
On the other side altcoin keeps popping up generally with the mission of fixing bitcoin gaps is a new way to process mining and transactions. Unfortunately, due to the absence of rules that cover the existence of cryptocurrency, there have been many cases of abuse, among others:
The action of big whales who have been manipulating prices.
The carelessness of the owners of exchange sites, which carry a run of assets of investors.
Of course this can damage the image of cryptocurrency in the eyes of the people, especially the world.

I understand where you're coming from but i somewhat disagree. Big investors will probably want to get ahead of the pack and invest early to maximize their profits. There logic would probably fall along the lines of: What is the point in investing in an oversaturated market?

I'm quite confident that when we have a mature and regulated market, it will be because of big investors, and it will instead attract regular people or small investors.

Mature market doesnt mean market will have stable movement. Even on stocks exchange that already exist for hundred years, always high volatile and every investment have their own risk.
I am believe mature market is when people who investing money on crypto, knowing their investment risk and not panic with any negative news

I understand you point, seems to be valid to me. Not only that, but in a event of hack and your funds are not covered by the exchanges, then its goodbye that's we heard so much crying around when a exchange is being hacked or taken down. In other words, the typical protection we have seen in stock market is not present in bitcoin. However, the argument can be said as well if you are familiar in using let's say your credit card online. You really have to take the risk, do the necessary steps to protect your account and keep your information offline. So there is a risk, and that people are willing to take that risk and gamble on cryptocurrency.

those exchanges are the one who make bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies valuable, we need them, if you have millions of assets, would you put it in one exchange? you should diversify it into multiple exchanges. would you trade it in an exchange with zero safety? no, you have to be wise in choosing trusted exchanges especially if you are planning to trade your millions. maybe you're trying to say is, a well trusted and stable exchanges will be the best choice of traders and investors but regulated market? i doubt. it depends on how it is regulated, what are the scope of regulations.

In fact, it is not even supposed to be a debate. Regulation would bring market maturity, which would usher in a lot of new money most especially from bigger investors and institutions, it would also crave in huge demand probably in the mainstream sector and all these things are going to be causing a huge increase in volume rather than a decrease in volume.

It is easy for some people to say they do not want regulation, but regulation would indeed bring a promising market than when we all just keep doing whatever we like.

At the same time, mature market environment may happen through well protocol based system too. But it will definitely takes more time to bring such a maturity for every users. But decentralization will not support regulations by any authority nor governments still for short term benefits, regulations are preferred.

yes, regulating market will of course lure a lot of Big investors and companies ,But also we'll lose the leverage of the decentralize concept which all this industry is Built on.Besides, they will control the price and small investors will Be destroyed!
It is a common conviction that you only invest your money into any of the crypto currency when you are quite sure that your money will not be lost and that you will end up making some very good amount of profit. You cannot ask anyone to invest in that coin which has nothing to give to the ones who have invested their money into it and that bitcoin needs to do lot of hard work as well to have bigger investors.
What is the hard work that bitcoin is doing? It is a market and it is not human bro! We are the ones that make the price what it is and if big players and investors decide to get into the market, it would obviously be at a time when they feel it is actually a good time to get in and not FOMO. Who do you think are the real market makers, bull and bears, you think you and I with just very little BTC? Obviously not!

The fact that there are lots of huge investors trusting their money in this crypto world means that they gain a lot or they are basing that to others experience here. So, it just shows thay we can gain investing here. There might be higher risks for them but when blessed they can gain huge also.

All investors are aware about their investment they make sure that its secure because once they had invested in a bad project they cannot get back their money so they are looking for a matured and trusted project to invest with.

The biggest attraction for the investors to invest is the nature of the investment they are trying to enter. Of course maturity and regulations are to consider that's why they are attracted with this kind of cryptocurrency hoping that their investment will hopefully earn bigger profit in the future.
I really want to believe we are assuming too much for this market. The thing here is that, it is not like the bigger players are not already in this market and sure, regulation would give them a chance to get in bigger than they may have been already, but the thing is before we can really get to see a matured market, it would have gotten to the stage where a lot of weak hands would have been fully shed off completely. We should have a matured market as time goes on anyway, even without the regulation.

I do think big investors are already in. Bitcoin potential is too huge to pass up, tho the fact that it's unregulated may prove a hindrance

Well decentralized exchanges are coming. However there are banks that will take custody of your crypto and buy/sell large amounts so you can liquidate/fill your positions quickly today, it is similar enough to the way of doing business today.

Yes of course, there are a lot of new cryptocurrency in the market today that is currently running and because of that, everyone is making their coin but still the serious icos will be only treated well and not those who have bad platforms.

Exchanges with large traffic always attract the attention of hackers. Exchanges like Binance are attacked by hackers!

However, Binance is committed to building a world-class blockchain asset trading platform in terms of security, service level and development prospect.

would not truely add much to the statement. though there are big investors on the market, we still miss the scale to make it really move up. clear regulations may make it less risky and open to larger number of investors of all kind

If cryptocurrency being regulated to attract big fish then it is fine with me as long as it can benefits the small investors as well. The more the investors the healthier the market. I hope they only regulating just to attract more investors and not controlling it.

You maybe right on matured crypto will attract big investors, but not for possible regulated crypto. it is still dependent on the volume of investment for the said crypto, the level of confidence, the stability in the market, the awareness on crypto investors, and the fundamental, the potential equity to the trading market, all of this are indicators to attract new investors in the trading market.
