It is better to forecast the future of the altcoin you have, if it has a promising future than the current price it is better to hold the altcoin but if the price is up to your expectation it is better you sell it at the price limit.

When the price decreases I always hold the coins in order not to suffer losses. The price will go up after a while and you can get a good profit.
