There is nothing we need to see about the bitcoin and alts price movement. There is no strong reason for this recent dump. These all marketplace fluctuations happening because of fake news, hacking and world wide regulations.
Context we cannot this is the reason.
Fluctuations and uptrend is normal in nature it self.

You can see here a list of all cryptocurrencies with their price and market cap, just my 2 cents, you should look at the market cap and not at the price, as some coins may look cheaper but there have large amount of coins in existence.
Most of the crytocurrency community believes that bitcoin will rule the cryptomarket, but personally I think that if a coin will offer a more advanced technology then bitcoin I think that people won't stay behind.

It is more than impossible sort of thing to comment on the market value of any of the crypto coin but if we make an analysis based on the past values of most of the crypto coins, you can hope that the market value of most of the crypto coins including bitcoin will increase and that it will be much better than its current market value and that it will not be possible for any of the coin to compete with bitcoin.

Because of its popularity among many people or certain countries, Ethereum and Bitcoin become better known or more prominent among many people. So, bitcoin investors will be very heavy to move their investment assets to altcoin. They will only invest in altcoin if they have the benefit of investing in bitcoin. I agree with the previous comment who say the biggest effect that makes bitcoin price down and bitcoin price rise is the regulation of cryptocurrency, false news that dropped cryptocurrency and scammer that make fake site about trading or investment place will make the price of cryptocurrency down.

In my opinion, there is no other coin that can reach the value same as bitcoin until bitcoin is replaced by any other coin (which is very unlikely).
You can think like this, Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and ethereum is the mother.

Why ethereum is mother you may wondering? Well, the reason is, ethereum is a woman because it gives birth to uncountable children.

Already bitcoin is the king and the leader of all crypto currency because the demand and the price of bitcoin is high as compare to the other currency, if you see the market demand of the bitcoin you can clearly see the value of bitcoin, now the price is high the main reason according to me behind it is the legally acceptance of bitcoin which is making the price of bitcoin high, bitcoin is the king and the mother of all other currencies as it was invented for the first time and since then till now bitcoin has gained a lot of things which made the price of bitcoin very high.

For now the competition is not keenly contested because bitcoin is very much on the high side. It is leading in the crypto discuss and for now, I don't think any coin is close in value.
