Buy some hardwallet, install antivirus plus malware and you will be fine do not give your private keys to anyone and most importantly dont be stupid.
actually if you are not inconsequential or reckless, your altcoins will stay safe. but sometimes people will be tempted by the trap of a hacker that even that does not make sense. the important thing be careful and always update your antivirus

Do use hardwallets because these wallets will add some extra protection to your coins, you will need to put some cryptographic phrases or password to be able to proceed in transactions,it will protect your coins especially your bitcoins because the private key is built in and you wont need to put it everytime you are using exchanges! that is why i do use hardwallets together with my metamask.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
How to protect? Then you should be sensible enough to keep informations which are needed to log-in to your waller like privatekeys, seeds and etc. as long you do know how to keep them safe then hacking would really be hard for someone to bypass. Also be careful on being phished and do download malware into your pc which would be a possible cause of keylogger that will record strokes of your keyboard which will possibly able to get keys and passwords.

If you want to keep your tokens totally away from hackers, your private key should be totally kept private to you, because that is the link to your wallet. Another way in which you can keep your coin and tokens safe is by using hardware wallet, such as, trezor. Hardware wallet cannot be hacked, except it is being handled by a third party. Also, if you are using online wallet, ensure you confirm the links you click on so as not to use phishing sites.

Buy a hardwallet, because these wallets are the most secured wallet that are existing today, even those infected computers wont give you headaches, because it has extra layers of protection in your wallet that will require you password before proceeding to your transactions, and you will need your personal keys for that.

Get ledger or trezor it will be the best and most secured hardwallets, either of the two will be much better than just your wallet alone! extra layer of protection can protect your coins when your computer is infected by the viruses and malwares, private keys are built in too.Use metamask as well to protect your browsers from potential phishing sites.

you should keep your private key of all your wallets very carefully, do not ever share it with another people including your family, and then do not enter phising site because it can happen very quickly, they can hack your altcoins with just your 1 click

Hold your private key out of online.I mean, never store your key/password in your computer. You can hold your key/password on your pen drive or a paper(paper wallet).I am holding my keys to my pen drive and out of all of the online services.
Right, I don't make use any hardware wallets being purchased online not because I don't have trust but I'm much more confident if I do list it on a paper or store it into my own USB drive which I'm actually doing as of now.Protecting your coins will depend on how you do keep your keys away from the awareness of other people.Keep it for a long time when you are a holder but don't forget on where you did put those informations. Cheesy

Dont ever try to use app or web wallet, use only hardwallet and metamask extension to proctect your coins these two are the most basic yet handy things you should have when you are holding big amount of crytocurrenc assets.

Yes, just do not reveal your private key to anybody, take care of your passwords and all the things, which they can use against you! Then everything will be ok

That's one of my fears "hackers" specially when you hold your coins in wallets like myetherwallet or coinbase so the best thing you do for the safety of your coins from hackers is to buy ledger wallet.

Best thing to do is to get a hardwallet because it has some extra layer or protection, some password and code before you accepts transactions, that is why these hackers wont have any good chance to steal your private keys even if your computer was infected by some virus or malwares! you're well protected as it is the most recommended wallets to the community.

Bener gan, exchange and place in the offline wallet if possible. You can print paper wallets from some good sources. Be careful who you trust because this will have an impact on you

Simply use metamask extension to preven phishing site in your browser,do use hardwallets because these wallets will protect your keys from the malware and viruses in your computer if ever you have some.Of course use anti virus and anti malware software so that your computer will be much safer as ever.

Simple as use a hardwallet, and you shouldnt be worried about these hackers because they cant break the security of these wallets, the wallet keys are changing from time to time to prevent hackers from getting your private keys it is protected even if you have viruses and malwares in your computer you shouldnt be worried when you have metamask and hardwallet together.

Just put your private keys in a piece of paper and never put in on your computer or you might want to install a good anti-virus for your own computer. You should have a routine on how you would expect to increase your security about of your computer or you might want to put your altcoins in a hardware wallet but i'm afraid that there are altcoins that aren't supported by those hardware wallet. So, you must have to decide what you should do in order to protect your altcoins from hackers.

Use a hardware wallet if you have one and if it supports the cryptocurrencies you own.  If not, don't surf the web with the same computer you have your cryptocurrencies on.  Back up all of your wallets and keep it in a safe place.  Bookmark your important cryptocurrency related websites especially MEW.
