I just checked on my bitcoin buy trade  at Kraken which was protected with a sell-limit order at 6600 usd.
Today I found my trade closed by my sell-limit order, executed at 6780.
How is this possible that a 6600 sell-limit is executed at 6780?
I checked the Kraken ledger. It says: sell-limit order at 6600 executed at 6780.
I am at a loss here?
Does anybody know what is going on?

I'm confused: were you trying to buy or sell Bitcoin? If you wanted to sell at 6600, and sold at 6780, you got a profit, not a loss.

The sell limit was my stop loss.
I had no intention to close my long trade.

I bought btc at 6700 and placed a sell-limit as stopp loss at 6600. My buy trade was closed through my sell limit order at 6780.So how is this possible, if my sell limit is at 6600 confirmed through Kraken ledger entry.

Here is a link to my Kraken ledger. I posted a similar question at steemit, which allows me to upload  screen shots.

Well, I  lost money, since my buy trade would have been in profit by now, but was closed far too early
Since I believe that btc might rise to 8100 usd, I opened another long trade at 6900 today but the entry price is 200 dollars higher as my initial trade entry was 6700.

I just cant get what happened. The ledger clearly states 5360 euros sell limit, but executed at 5487.
How can a sell limit order become executed so far above the set limit price?

It is possible that the price dropped briefly below 5360 euros, activating your stop loss which was executed moments later at a higher price. You got lucky. If the drop lasted longer, it could have sold for a lot less. Anyway, that's just one possibility.

That makes sense. Now I start to understand, why some people warn to set stop loss orders. Because of stop hunting and spikes.

How can a sell limit order become executed so far above the set limit price?

A Stop-Limit order becomes a market order when an exchange occurs at the limit price.

So:

1. An exchange occurred at (or below) $6600 triggering your Stop-Limit.
2. Your market order was placed on the order book to sell the number of bitcoins that you requested in your order.
3. At approximately the same time, additional buy and sell orders were placed into the order book (possibly some market and some limit).
4. The orders in the order book executed against each other changing what the current BUY and SELL price are.
5. Eventually, your SELL market order executed against the remaining BUY orders on the book.  One or more of those buy orders were at a price of $6780.

On the other hand, I looked at a price history chart and I didn't see any trades at 5360, so that might not explain it.

I also did not see a spike down. I have placed a support ticket with Kraken, as soon as I hear back from them I will post their reply here.
But it could take a few days until they respond.

Are you surprised? Crypto is an unregulated market - exchanges can do anything they want, and they manipulate the markets and cheat the users simply because they right now operate outside any financial law.

at least they suffer over time from a bad image, perfectionism in financial law can be very damagin actually
