That is true. Although completely separated companies, DTube is working together with Steemit.
What does this mean?

When you upload a video (or tag, or comment) on DTube, you can rewarded with both DTC (DTube Coins) and STEEM.
Blockchain were made interoperable, in order to avoid the silo effect.

We think facilitating interactions between chain will be a way of going mainstream (as Youtube and Facebook collaborates together for instance).

I don't think this will have a success like all the other video monetization sharing sites in the internet, they have a very bad implementation I have a steem account and automatically registered here using my Steem keys information.

One of the problems of video uploader and I think everyone who wants yo upload their videos here is your video will stop playing and stop from being monetized if you did not reach enough upvotes,

I have not heard about DTube, but judging by the above idea is similar to some familiar services to me. Of course I would need to try it myself to understand how convenient it is, how well the video is loaded and viewed, etc...while not going into details of the reward.

Great idea and design. Is it a Steemit project or is it just a partnership? Once upon a time, Steemit was a trend and a very famous project.

The idea is similar to the project vision of the $Tube coin. The rewards from the watch count will be diversified between video uploaders and the regular content consumers. The competition with Youtube has to be concrete but I doubt the single reward system will be enough for beating the old gigant video platform.

You are right, in such a market it will not be so easy to compete with already known services, especially considering financing. But with the right approach, marketing and a qualified team, can succeed step by step.
