Can someone explain me the whole idea of signatures?

1. When can I create my own signature
2. I saw bigger once and smaller once depending on my position in BitcoinTalk- ?
3. In bounties, how does it work with signatures?

I guess it's another world of BitcoinTalk

Thanks!

Regarding your signature, here is a quote by @theymos (forum administrator) regarding signature guidelines:

Perhaps the allowed signature styling should change with activity score / membergroup. Like:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 40 characters.
- Jr. Member: Links allowed. Max 100 characters.
- Member: Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Then newbies will be less effective advertisers, which would hopefully significantly reduce the incentive for low-content posts. And when people become capable of effectively advertising through their signatures, they'll have invested a lot of time into their accounts, and they won't risk being banned by spamming.

Here's information about signature campaigns: Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign)

And here is information about everything else. May I suggest that you read this before asking any more questions?

Newbies - Read before posting

Hello everyone,
Can someone explain me the whole idea of signatures?

1. When can I create my own signature
2. I saw bigger once and smaller once depending on my position in BitcoinTalk- ?
3. In bounties, how does it work with signatures?

I guess it's another world of BitcoinTalk

Thanks!

1. You can create your own signature anytime but you have a minimum Jr. Member account to wear it.
2. The signature spaces based on your bitcointalk rank. You can wear bigger signatures when upgrading your rank. You can see how they look like on some bounty threads.
3. The signature campaign rules change bounty by bounty. Normally you have to wear their signature and post on different sections. They have minimum post limit per week to get weekly stakes. The stakes amount will change by their bitcointalk rank.

I hope you can get an idea. Smiley

Signatures are leveraged by projects for advertising but remain locked until you reach the rank of Jr. Member.  Currently to become a Jr. Member you have to have 30 posts and activity of 30. You also have to log several hours for the algorithms to truly kick in. You will have to work a few weeks when you first sign up. There are several good posts in this section about the specs in more detail.

Once you level up to the rank of Jr. Member you'll be allowed to create a signature.
1. No Images yet
2. No url/links yet
3. You will be limited to 150 characters
4. These limitations and your rank will thin out the projects you can work for

It will be challenging to find projects willing to allow Jr Members to advertise, but there are some so keep you chin up. I've found that the limitations force you to be creative and persistent so hang in there.

And if I want to make a bounty program and give out stakes for others to put my signature
If I'm a jr. member- is that a problem?

If your active value is 30, you can go up to JR.

JR members can wear signatures and sign up!
