Hello, I searched but didn't find an answer to my problem, although I found similar symptoms, so here goes.
I upgraded the firmware in my S3+ today. The install never completed -- the page telling me to wait remained up for more than an hour. When I finally restarted the unit, it I could not get to the login page.
When it starts, the green light flickers a few seconds, then stops. The red light continues flashing. The fans do not run.
I can't access the device at 192.168.1.99. There is no login page. Holding reset button for 10 secs does absolutely nothing at all. I tried switching the power connectors around. Tried a different supply.
Any ideas of where to go from here?

I collect and trade rare and lost cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Prefer fair launch/no premine, pre-2014 coins.

I seem to have an entire Fs/OS Of malware. everything from waking on lan computers in stand by taking images and streaming video via gstreamer. it actually has support for tcp/up over ham radio frequency so unless you'll power it could always be transmuting. I admit sometimes I jump to conclusions on my net security but if you see how many packages my s3 was installing after connectivity you'd blown thedamn thing up without 2nd thought. I think I have October firmware and I wanted to update it before blaming bitmain but as of now it looks like I paid for a malware box that an even connect to my smartphone via network and snap or stream photos and video. only thing is that will take min bc I can't find the DNSresponder hosts file etc on it and each firmware filers corrupt as if it's sending me to a fake downloads site so I can restore my netgear wndr3300v1 or to s3 12/19/14 firmware. anyone else seen it? I did buyit from Scott's electronics on Amazon justto see how bitmain compared. oh and avg accept 7,000 and not reject but discard 22,000in same timeframe e? never seen this before.....

The same happened me on a couple of miners. I just kept pressing reset button and cycling the power until it worked. The Dec fw works better than the Oct fw.

So I have 3 S3 units. I bought one and it hashed for a week and the control card died. Now it sems the other 2 have also died. Yes. I have done all the usual. Updated, reset, etc. Got about a month out of each unit.
Unfortunately I bought these from minersource who now appears to be gone as their website is gone. So I can't get the original shipping info or purchase order info for warranty. Such as it is.
I would have atleast expected your products to be more durable than a month in hashing time. After some research it apears to have become a common problem with your gear that the control boards fail prematurely by a bunch. Sadly I am being told that unless under warranty the parts to fix are not available. SO after not quite a month out o each miner I am dead in the water and burnt it seems. Sad just plan sad.
Well guess I will try the spondoolies out to see if they are any better. First one is going to be an sp20 unit.
By the way. the BtcGarden unit I own has literally ran circles around the s3 units as far as stability and realiability goes. Wish they would come back.
Well hope this bit of info can help save others from the pain of wasting money on low grade gear.

The 2 S2s we bought back in May of 2014 still running. No issues other than having to replace the PSU's that originally came with the units and too much bouncing and cards popped out during shipping and reinserted no problem. Rock solid units still going today. Mining Freicoin non-stop most of that time. So I have 3 S3 units. I bought one and it hashed for a week and the control card died. Hi Bick! Great to hear your S2 still going strong. for customers who purchased Antminer Products from Minersource.net or Miner Hosting LLC, and needing the warranty service, or technical assistance, please contact +1-844-248-6246 Option 2 or PM us here and we will assist you as much as we can. If you are in USA or Canada, you can just dial 844-248-6246, if you are outside USA, you can dial it with country code (1)-844-248-6246 IF you are asking for the refund on the credit card purchase, you have to talk to your bank or credit card companies. We are not able to refund you for the purchase you made from else where. The 2 S2s we bought back in May of 2014 still running. Neither here nor there really since they ditched the home miner long ago, shame upon them! Saying that, that they have achieved this on a 28nm fabrication is bound to have (have had?) a resonating effect on bitmain and SPT, never mind the network in general.

Its actually a pretty dull announcement, ASICMiner have shown just as good chips in their initial run and Bitmain has just as good chips now. Spondoolies should join the quartet if they do a next gen and I'm sure KNCMiner will have a good go at it. The fact that Bitfury is keeping quiet about the results should tell you all you need to know really - they're disappointed in the results.

Aside from your usual waffle, what reason would bitfury have to tell me (and here I am the home miner) about their results, dis-appointing as you'd want us to believe or otherwise? They raised $40M for this and I am sure the guys and gals who put that amount up already know the results .... but that we are even reading about it can only mean one thing (well at least to someone with a brain).

The last DDoS attack (that I know of) was on kano.is just a couple of days ago, and I am sure it is from the same guy, who has also targeted other pools. here's the guy's profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=411920Look through his last posts and follow the threads he's posted to and you'll get the picture.
