I think promoting bitcoin stability is partly a matter of avoiding the alcoint crisis, major changes in cryptocurrencies activities, high inflation, and excessive volatility and alcoint markets. Instability can increase uncertainty, inhibit investment, hamper the growth of alcoint.

I agree with you. Currencies’ stability in price really matters a lot wether it is volatile type of investment or not. Other people who did not accept or invest in crypto realizes the great volatility of crypto-investments. It can be a real asset alter on if Btc will ever experience this stability.  |

on the one hand it is bitcoin stability is very important because I think the role of bitcoin as a form of way to conduct transactions must be balanced with the price stability possessed by bitcoin. but on the other hand it is certainly not profitable for people who want to invest in bitcoin. it is surely just how we will give perceptions on bitcoin whether for a means of transaction or investment.

The term is inflation. So what for now if for example money makes money.
If it can not be controversial, it could be a crisis, "obviously bitcoin stability is very important.How do you know how to anticipate so that bitcoin stability is not often weak ..? And what is that effect?

clear! we desperately need price stability, because all alt follow the path of bitcoin scenario. if bitcoin decreased automatically alt price also decreased, and vice versa, sir. stable is the point where the price or a value can change up and down. that is where we can see when to sell and buy (invest).
IMO bitcoin value is difficult to stabilize, if at the beginning of its manufacture is designed to fluctuate.

I don't think it is particularly important at the moment. The cryptocurrency market is still very young and naive, so still needs time to grow and mature, and I am sure if it makes it through that, it will stabilise. Thanks, -Untold |

When bitcoin is volatile, the only people who want to hold it are investors and traders and everyone else wants to dump it like a hot potato. When bitcoin is stable, it is more attractive to use as a savings account, unit of account, or for a merchant to actually accept it, rather than immediately dumping for cash. Stability increases hoarding and business use. Ironically this will then eventually make the value go up, removing the stability and starting the cycle all over again - until bitcoin does enough jagged lines to reach its final price discovery.

It is really important because once the price just drops or rises every hour to very high ratio between high and low it will become unstable which would result to people being no longer interested in investing their money. And this could incur loses on the part of the investors especially if it drops down. Imagine something like dropping the price of bitcoin price to about 50 percent at a given day while it is used as a payments for a product or money transfer. If the exchange back to fiat currency happens after it has dropped loses would surely occur.

It is important for people to hold it as a form of value, as money which can be used at a later point in time. However, when does it stabilize in value, it will become boring. Nobody talks about gold day in and day out with bated breath. Bitcoin too will become boring and relegated to a portion of our portfolio when it stabilizes in price. |

It is important for people to hold it as a form of value, as money which can be used at a later point in time. However, when does it stabilize in value, it will become boring. Nobody talks about gold day in and day out with bated breath. Bitcoin too will become boring and relegated to a portion of our portfolio when it stabilizes in price. This exactly my point which I want to discuss about the bitcoin volatility. I mean people might just say that instability is bad for the bitcoin but its not really. In fact it is what keeping it alive since most of the people are using it for creating the wealth or profiting themselves. Thus they need to do trade it, invest into it at lower rates and grab huge margin windows. This later on can produce wealth for them/us when the rates are grown. This "Up and Down" movement of the bitcoin which is in general terms called as unstable nature of bitcoin is very important. Otherwise tell us how they will utilise the bitcoin and who will invest into it if its not gonna move at all in the future. Thats the actual point here and nothing else. Thats why it would be better if it stays the same way. |

Stability is important for a long term investment however it will lower interest which create a low volatility. I don't think bitcoin stability can be related with altcoin movement because its like comparing blue chip stocks with penny stocks, volatility was created because of supply demand and most investor in bitcoin nowadays are traders rather than long term investor and that is why its hard to induct "stability" in bitcoin. However if the government really intended to create cryptocurrency law to decrease usage of bitcoin then it surely will become a trigger for bitcoin stability.  |

I don't think that we need stable bitcoin price. We need stable tokens associated with it and that will be enough. BTC USD value should fluctuate and I don't expect it to slow down anytime soon.

Bitcoin stability is very important because if the volatility is very big stores cannot accept bitcoin as a payment method since they would lose a lot of money at the end when they exchange that bitcoin into cash. Of course they could use an intermediary company to directly exchange their bitcoin to cash this would lead to big fees and less
people are going to use it.
