Hi all,

I'm throwing this out there because I'm not a windows guy, but I've been asked:

Is it possible to mine btc in the background with an ATI card (suppose noone is logged in)? I know on linux with ATI drivers X needs to be running.

Anyone have good step-by-step instructions for this?

You could take a look here:

http://www.newslobster.com/random/how-to-get-started-using-your-gpu-to-mine-for-bitcoins-on-windows

This requires an initial setup, but once it is verified as working you can let this run all day while no one is at the computer. (I'm not sure if there is a way to use this without actually having a user logged in and the programs launched by them)
