Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Development News: Distribution and reconstruction simulations successful!
We are able to simulate the distribution and reconstruction of data using 10 active location and 10 free locations. Redistribution works when the active machines go down and data was reconstructable with only 4 locations left!
Stay tuned for updates, next step is to use real life data and locations on one machine. |
