There is no proper explanation, because 'candles' are inapplicable to cryptos. Just another strange price movement.

But it's too soon for celebrations. After the 1K jump price didn't move up for hours.

It seems to me to just be a pump. I don't think that there were any articles in the news that would have justified this pump, so it could just be traders seeing that $6500 support is strong, and buying in, which caused a huge short squeeze.

I was surprised when I saw the price as well this morning.

I agree with kolesozw. a $800 jump in price for now is just something short term. Whether this will actually translate to some sort of long lasting trend is a different question, and to be honest, I think we may correct down even further after this pump is over. Though I do expect this bullishness to last at least a week for now.

Too early to call if this is another bull trap or bull run. Remember we have been in this kind of situation previously and sadly its just another bull trap. But this run is different, in my opinion someone big is pumping the market. In less than 24 hours the market increase to $1K which is evidently very unexpected. But I'm crossing my fingers and do hope that what we are seeing is truly a bull run that is long overdue.

Too early to tell if the bull run has started. To me the sudden spike we saw today looks like just a pump from whales to liquidate margins, which actually paid off. But I expect a pullback down to the low 7k's in the next couple of days followed by yet another increase to test the 8k resistance level, either that or we enter another period of consolidation around the current price which wouldn't be that bad if you ask me as I prefer a slow increase in the price.

If the uptrend continues for 3-4 weeks then there's a high chance that we might see the market sentiment shifts from bearish to bullish, this could trigger FOMO and most likely the bull run starts, otherwise, we keep waiting.

Do you want to know what I was thinking about? If the price comes back to $10k suddenly then I say Bitcoin is funny. If the price comes back to $20k within few days then I say it's an inside job.

There are lots of factors and "supposed" factors so we can pinpoint what triggers the pump. You can google some recent news and made up an analyzation by yourself. And besides the pump for over $1,000 is just a common happening crypto. Remember that about week/s ago, the price also went down to a margin of $1,000+ before getting a nice sit at around $6,000+ for day.

Just be used on this kind of pump and don't mind literally what's the reason. Take advantage of it instead or if you able take a ride during the dip then play with the right strategy now to cope up with the current trend.

Is this a start of a bull run? Let's watch and see.

I still not believe that the bull market is coming,need more time to evaluate this rising, but I think this is just a pump so need to be careful of the drop, a lot of people has been waiting for this rising, but this rising is a bit suspicious, so I think the possibility of correction is still high

There is no doubt a whale or a group of whales have caused the price to rise that much. Rising price that fast in that short time without whales is completely impossible. There was no news which has caused many of small investors or newbies invest in cryptocurrencies. A whale a group of whales invested in bitcoin and caused bitcoin and other coins to rise.

It didn't expect this to happen at all.

Depending on whether the price can reach $8k again, which I think it will, it'll probably end up being a sizable run up. Potentially even to $9k+, even.  It was indeed about time that bullish sentiments started to grow within the market, as well.

But I don't believe this is the end of the bear market. Once this rally is over, I think there will still be dumps to come. Unless $6.5k is the real bottom, which I think it is not, we will go down even more before an actual recovery takes place.

i am still hesitant to call this a "bull run" just because we saw a big and sudden rise. i say it is mostly because of the fact that bitcoin was manipulated and dumped hard instead of going down like a normal market and being lower by force means it will jump back up like this.

if price continues to rise and goes above $8000 then that can be a good signal for the start of a bull market, otherwise don't jump to conclusions.

stop using and reporting market capitalization when you are talking about cryptocurrencies. it is completely meaningless like what you said here. no $30b ever came into the market! what happened was that bitcoin went up and since every altcoin has a alt/btc price and during a sudden rise nobody is capable of selling alts that fast the prices of altcoins virtually went up in USD too.
for example an altcoin worth 0.01BTC was worth $68 then suddenly while still at 0.01BTC it was worth $80 that doesn't mean that altcoin went up!!! it means that altcoin stayed the same and bitcoin went up. in fact many of them even got dumped and went down to 0.009BTC for example but still showed fake rise!

Other than that - I think that people are just tired of FUD and drama and FOMO just started to kick in again.
Also, we had some pretty known names sharing their opinions of rather bright future - i.e. Tim Draper said that BTC will reach $250k till 2022.

It's probably a mix of things.

Likely a big whale buyer bought a bunch. The floor had also been establish for a couple weeks in the 6000s, and also that made a double bottom at around 6000 for this whole months long crash, so bulls were ready to start buying. Also the end of tax season in the US is coming up this tuesday so traders have gotten their tax liabilities for crypto trades from last year paid off so they can get back to investing. Basically I'd say it was a whale (I believe a couple of billionaires recently said they are going to get into Bitcoin) combined with the charts saying we were at a bottom and the market being ready to start shifting back in favor of the bulls.

If you wait only for the articles in the news and then decide your trading decisions, then I am sorry to say but you are far beyond those people who earn in crypto handsomely. When anything publishes in the news it losts it's uniqueness in the market. Everyone is aware of it after. So, it is better to understand the reasons of market growth and to get to know it before it becomes a news to take full advantage.
