Will you update the OP when new pools are online? Anyone have any progress on a gpu miner for the algo?

I try to keep the OP up to date. The GPU miner is in beta testing now. It delivers 40+ KH/s for HD7970 or R9 280X, 25+ KH/s for HD7870. You can watch the progress in the Feathercoin forum: Changing the hashing algorithm

I continue to work on CPUminer.

Well, it says to be out of memory. You are supposed to have 512Mb free at least.

Is the GPU miner available or still in testing?

Price just imploded.

Anybody know why or is it just the usual too much inflation, not enough demand and miners dumping their loot?

It's sad to see some of these good older coins get killed like this.  I guess this is a good time to buy if one has the money to buy Bitcoin.

Cheers!

Price is a mere indicator of demand and supply. It doesn't create any value by itself. It takes a community to create value. If the community is inactive or only interested in dumping for a small profit, so be it. I don't want to be the only one interested in making this coin a success. Although if nothing changes in this realm, the people keep doing what they do now and the price drops down to a few satoshis, I can buy a few million PXC with my pocket change just for fun or whatever.

It seems that PXC mining is too profitable for some miners to resist an urge to dump and take profits now. Also, CPU coins are always in trouble because of BOTNET operators.

Merged-mining with FTC would help with price stability.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

FTC was offered merged mining with LTC about a year ago. No surprise they declined.

FTC doesn't support a block limiter and their current re-target algorithm makes difficulty manipulations rather easy. Merged mining also bloats secondary chains. Anyway, I'm not going to follow this way. No future for PXC there.

PXC is doing valuable job as PXC network was switched with CPU miner only.
GPU miner is working now, however still some tweaking and testing is needed.
When FTC switch to neoscrypt it will also boost PXC awarnes a little.

GPUs aren't very effective at NeoScrypt now. That's why there is no GPU miner released.
