I have set up a wallet on coinbase and received a wallet address. I did not add a bank account yet. I also created an account on BTC Guild. I installed GUIminer. I am doing this on a laptop, I just want to see if I can get this working before I advance any farther. I would like to mine with my CPU. I went to file, new miner, new ufasoft cpu miner. In the ext. path there is the following;

C:\Users\hp4\Desktop\bitcoin\guiminer\miners\ufasoft\bitcoin-miner.exe

in my bitcoin folder i dont see a miners folder as well as a ufasoft folder let alone a bitcoin-miner.exe

for server I have, BTC Guild (any)

for Username I have my worker name from BTC Guild

for password I have used my BTC Guild password and i have used 123

extra flags is left blank and CPU Affinity has the (0) box checked

When I click start mining nothing happens. Please help.

Also do you know if the bitcoinplus site actually works? specifically for CPU mining. Thanks!

what hardware are you using?  CPU and GPU will not likely net you anything.  You'll need an ASIC device.
