Because it is a natural trading that it isn't back up by any artificial pricing the possibility that the price movement is unpredictable but as the price pump suddenly it might be  an indication that it will create a natural bull run and lucky  are those who holds and buy while the price is at the bottom.

Yeah, i could agree with in this since this felt like some kind of a trap that someone was boosting the price in order to bait those who want to buy it then suddenly dump it real quick. But maybe we're just wrong and judging too much if it's not gonna fall again. Well, i still have to leave it for a couple of days before i have to believe this kind of sudden pump without any reasons.

It looks like it was like a bull whale buying up bitcoins. But as there are bull whales buying bitcoins, there are also bear whales selling them. The effect of a Mt. Gox bear whale selling his coins we all experienced not so long ago. So the price could go down as fast as it rose, and it could even lower at that. The bottom line is that there is a lot of randomness in today's market, and given the low trading volumes most of the time recently, it is not that hard to move the price for a whale or semi-whale in the desired direction.

This is not new mate and if the bitcoin price increased by $1000 in just an hour doesnt mean the bullish won't last for long. Besides, one of the that hold back the price of bitcoin was the bitcoin  Mt. Gox  wanted to convert and if they are done with that I think the market bullish just begin.

I didn't expect right now that we will see a fast increase this day and I heard that there is some investor are entering a market with a large amount.

And another news that I heard it's because of the new foreign exchange and use blockchain technology as their payment system.

So this might be the reason that's why the price jump high and reached $8000 above.

However, the price right now drops a bit and I thought the reason of the little drop it's because miners are selling their mined coins just to get the benefits today and don't lose the opportunity to make a profit as well.

I agree with you. I don't think that this is where bitcoin goes fully bullish and all of a sudden, we go on full on mania like last year.

This pump should last a while and take bitcoin at least to $9000+, but when the resistance at $10000 proves to be too strong for this pump to breach, I believe that we may go back to $6.8k, and break through that support.

I don't think that this is the recovery in the market that we're looking for at this stage.

The price jumped extremely quickly, fueled by a short squeeze and FOMO buying. In my opinion despite this pump being sustained, $6-7k's support will still be broken in the year since the bearish sentiments are not fully out of the market yet.

Yeah it proves that there are many investors still believes in the bitcoin technology as pushing the price to that level will need much funds. We should stay positive and optimistic that this will be the beginning and hopes that all the positive prediction will come true that btc will return or surpass the all time high by year end.

I potcoin with him shows such acrobatic opportunities to increase my price, it is quite possible that by the end of 2018 we will see new maximum prices for Bitcoin.

Why does people complain if the price drops and still rants negatively even if it rise?why not appreciate the positive movement? We have been into deep shit in the past early months and i am appreciative of this price increase no matter what. If people loss it is because they took to much risk and expected too much and when their expectations are not met they tend to get angry and say negative comments about bitcoin. In the first place you know when you join bitcoin the price is unpredictable it could rise and fall easily we make a profit by staying and trading wisely.

That's unlikely unless someone really big chooses to test waters with crypto. But that's even less likely as the wealthiest investors like Buffett and Soros have already expressed their concerns about the long-term viability and success of cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, there are rumors about the Persian Gulf potentates and moneybags being interested in Bitcoin now that it has been declared compliant with Sharia. Don't know how it is going to play out, though.

you are surprised that crypto-currencies will be dealt with even by Muslims? They are not inconsistent with the laws of cryptography and therefore for each person will be available crypto currency, despite belonging to the Sharia.

I strongly believe that while they might not have invested directly in Bitcoin themselves, they might have been doing so through proxies for quite some time now. It's of course not entirely the same, but the main point of importance is that the current difference might cause these entities to go full nuts on Bitcoin instead of conservatively letting a tiny bit of their liquidity flow into this market. I however hope that at some point we don't have to look forward to large investors entering the market anymore, because the only reason people like to see this happen is because of the price that will go up. It has nothing directly to do with Bitcoin as always....

OP, are you into  the cryptocurrency investment because of the quick gains you want to make out of it? Even if there is an unstable price in the price of bitcoin, that doesn't mean the price will sink forever without rising again. The inconsistence going on with the price is just probably a correction,  a FUD or just a normal phase that will soon be a history.  It's good to have a positive outlook to earn better.
