i can unerstand when price of one crypto increase or decrease , but why when it's bear or bull market all cryptos (or 90% of them ) goes up and down and follow a general trend ??
is poeple invest +- equally in different cryptos or just because market follow the top 3 cryto and mainly bitcoin ??

Actually it happens this year, if you watching this in some previous years, the conditions are different from now if Bitcoin decrease usually some altcoin will rise and happen inverse. Many people interest in buying Bitcoin rather that other coins such as Eth, BCH, etc. when bear coming those coins was converting into fiat. |

I think all market movements are manipulations by whales. Bitcoin is relatively not yet mainstream and normal people trading few bitcoins cannot possible move the market in huge swings.

Demand and supply are the main determinants when it comes to the reason of price increase and decrease. The same applies to crypto market also. And other reasons to which are ancillary may affect the demand of a cryptocurrency. Not to forget that there are present some big guns in the market which manipulate it so well. Any critic buzz in the market will make the investors sell their investments creating a big selling are some cryptocurrency have their developers working on the project it automatically gives confidence to the investors and the price is pumped up. Moreover as the market is amateur even the new entrants increase the price too much.

Very good question about the whole market behaviour. Its not like all the people make +/- investment in every other coin but its all about the market correction that occurs when the whole market rises up and down. Also, its all about the bull trend that occurs where the stage comes when the total market cap starts rising due to major currency like BTC. Most of the times they are BTC dependent and last times pump was made into the BTC and rest of the market followed the correction to keep the market dominance. If they dont do that then correction wont happen and volume might decrease a lot to recover back. |

This is how the market increase and decrease, for example a person bought a bitcoin when there was a hype of buying many bitcoins. So many people was encouraged to buy bitcoins and so they do. And there is a big mass of buying of a crypto, it tends for it to go up for a reason. And when a big mass of people dumps the coin, then it will go down.

There are so many factors that are responsible for the decrease and increase in the value of crypto currency. Some time it could as a result of the fources of demand and supply and on the other hand, it could be that when Bitcoin which happen to be the market mover decreases in value such move will definitely affect other altcoins negatively.

Marketplace fluctuations on the each coin and then demand and supply theory matters for this price changes in the market. Please invest your fund on any coins when the PRI e dumps and sell it out to the exchanges when price bumped in the market. Marketplace volume and circulation decides who should be in top mate. That's the reason bitcoin and ethreum always top in the market. |

The price and circulating supply! Someone has to sell at a price someone has to buy, that's how price changes. Coin price * number of coins = Market cap. |

The major factor responsible for the rise and fall in the value of anything is its demand and supply. The same applies to crypto market also. And there are many reasons which affect the demand of a cryptocurrency by its investors. Sometimes whales can also manipulate the market. The type of news about the coin also affect its price. The negative news will make the investors sell their investments and the positive news will make them buy more currency. |

It's strange I have seen Bitcoin for a lot of years and most of the time will Bitcoin Rise is all falls down the other coins does the opposite of it. It's like dropping a coin in the river and all the other leaves will Rebel from that drop. What we have to know that in this year that was not the case Bitcoin has faced many you must and competition at the same time which leads to price decreases.

Has anyone read the stuff by Cryptonizers? He claimed that the price of bitcoin spiked so much because of the stop losses and margin calls on bitmex. People shorted but when it went up a little it kept hitting stops and spiked. Any thoughts?

Market fluctuations happens for any kind of a stock and so does for bitcoin. It can be due to many reasons : • Media pressure (Fake news, scare news such as hacks) • Government Regulation • Hype • Whales playing with market • Mining • Business dumping to fiat • Trading on exchanges • Volatility and so on....... |

Reason such as the fources of demand and supply are the better way of explaining why Bitcoin value appreciate and depreciate over time. And another reason could be attributed to fundamental issues like government ban of crypto currency or ICO related business activities could also be another reason.

Its all depend on news circulating around the crypto market or on that crypto market if good news comes people start to buy crypto so market increase and if bad news comes people sell their coins in Panic and we see market decrease.

Every coins has something special and every year has a cycle. It keeps increasing rapidly by adopting the blockchain on it. So people would buy it coz the supply is too low and the demand is too high. Some will buy coz it is hyping in the community.
