There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

bootstrap.dat?

I uploaded a bootstrap file here: https://mega.co.nz/#!Vx0DWZID!RdVRG_7gdepODXKgP3Zwn2iACcuDk-tXnrp1InNQfnw
Just unzip and rename the blk0001.dat in bootstrap.dat

Enjoy! Smiley

It would be awesome if this coin got a makeover and got a little polish on it and got back up and running because it's a pretty decent coin that I hold some of and stake them as well Cheesy The 30 day min stake age is a little much but that's something I guess would have to be discussed with the developer if they did a little revamp of the coin or something Smiley Cheers

No pools to my knowledge, but difficulty at the moment is low enough you can mine your own wallet.

Got Paccoin?
