very true, i generally tend to look up icos through reddit and 4 chan got some nice recommendations in the past from there. But i always look at these recommendations with a great deal of skepticism. Going through social media helps to give you an idea about what icos are currently getting hyped or generating interest, but its better use this more as a way to short list interesting ico's based on their potential in  your opinion and once you have prepared said shortlist, you can then conduct some detailed research to find out if any of them are worth investing in.

On that note i am currently looking at this ico called SPOTCOIN, its NEO based ICO and is looking at creating a crypto to fiat online exchange as well as a OTC marketplace. They are looking at other stuff as well (mining, payment gateway) but the fiat to crypto thing is what really interest's me and got my attention.
They have also siad that will give about 51% of exchange trading fees out as a dividend to holders, so could expect some decent yearly returns on that as well.
