I would buy it back asap or wait for a crash but don't expect too much from it. People start to understand the true value of Bitcoin.

So who was enough stupid to sell ?

My plan was to sell bitcoins for litecoins when btc hit $1000, but the irony is that the opposite happened - the price of litecoin jumped up so fast before btc hit $1000 that I ended up selling litecoin for bitcoin instead.

I'm grumpy!!

I can't understand these people who sold at around $1000.

they may have been wrong or right, but it sure seemed like a lot of people had their mind set on dumping at $1k, which would lead to a mini crash.

You can't crash it due to the strong buy side above 900$.
They are wrong, wait for the ETF.

eh..I sold most around .035, so not quite the top. If they drop to .03, I'll probably buy them all back.

If I had 100000 BTC I would ... i'm not that lucky Smiley

Even with 1 million BTC, why would you sell now when you know it is going to 100K in about 2 years.

And how does anyone know this exactly? I want to be optimistic too but let's not jinx something good

So, you are saying, miners in total would be making $360,000,000, that is, 360 million dollars each day?  Where would that money be coming from, if they, lets say, try to sell it on exchanges?

I sold all of my "liquid bitcoins" at 650 euros because I bought them for 630 and 650 was at that time an all time high, (just moment before the rise to 800 euro)

I'm waiting for the inevitable drop to buy back some bitcoins before it will rise once again. I just refuse to believe there won't be a crash like 2011 or April, it just jumped from 900 dollar to 1200 almost overnight, peaks like that are usually followed by crashes.

@theguyaboveme the difficulty at the point where bitcoins would be 1 million would likely be so high that no miner would make much bitcoins at all, not even if they invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy Petahashes (that is 1000 Terrahashes or 1 million gigahash) worth of mining rigs. And also probably by that time the block reward would either be 0 or close to 0, so the transaction fees will probably be more profitable than mining itself.

I believe it depends on what country you are in, how much you cash out, how long you've held them, and how much other income you earn in the year.  There is no blanket percentage for everyone.

well sure, but generally in the U.S. at least, it's 40% if you have held it for less than a year, and 15% if over. paying capital gains tax on BTC will become a huge mess since it's semi-anonymous and sometimes you can't prove when you purchased it.
