I believe the best way before investing in altcoins is that investor need to research and familiarize the altcoins which they consider investing. Once they had chosen an altcoin, then I believe it would be appropriate to do long term investment and just wait for it until it will increase further. Just a suggestion, better choose altcoins that belong to the top 20 coins at least the risk is not that high.

you just hold it until the price is growing, then sell it when the price overbought or in resistant zone but, remember your altcoins is not shitcoins regards |

If you want to buy coins during ICO, don't buy projects in which devs don't show sizes of bonuses for private sale. Even if the project is good and promising, after listing it will be dumped.

Best way to earn would be by doing day trading. However, if you want a much safer way of investment, then you just hold on to your coin until such time that you have gained profit and is satisfied with it. |

Successful portfolio = diversified portfolio. Try to analyze coins from the top 50, select the best ones and proportionally invest in each. This will be the best choice for any scenario. And then HODL. Trading is very risky for newbies |

You only need to consider the risks of getting a profit, can you lose it? Is there nothing interesting happening soon that might pump prices? if so, you can try trading. If you are willing to risk a small portion of your funds, altcoin small caps usually tend to provide a higher return if you have good technology behind it and have the support and road maps needed to support it.

Holding is one of the best strategy in cyrpto. If you want your coins to be profitable just hold it for a while. In terms of investing you should invest in different coins not just in one.

If you decide to hold altcoin for long term ,you should be have target profit and you have to know for how long you will hold it, because all price of altcoin is pump hard and will dump hard too. Because now all altcoin on the deep, you can pick some of them and hold it untill 6 month to 1 years and for target profit about 7 to 10 times. And to maximum profit because we dont know how high the price will go, we should be use stop loss and trailling stop. But currently more than 50% BTC dominance in the market so demand of altcoin still low.
