"Sapien (https://www.sapien.network/) will be using DAOstack’s collective intelligence protocol to create a robust governance system within their platform. By building on DAOstack’s back end, Sapien will be able to implement a reputation-based voting system that will enable their users and their platform to function seamlessly as a democratized organization."

Please check out this video that describes in detail how DAOstack’s technology will work in union with the Sapien platform: https://youtu.be/4l030VRkwwM

I read the white paper and drew attention to the following expression. Typically, restaurants are lined up and evaluated by network members whose
reputation is part of the overall reputation in the network. Tell me, have many restaurants already lined up? Can you list a few?

This quote refers to a possible Curation Network use case, where the network members rank restaurants based on their own reputation as voters. We don't have an implementation concerning restaurants yet. For a comprehensive demonstration, please watch our Alchemy Demo in the ANN thread. Thanks.

DAOstack has a very interesting concept. It opens up opportunities to explore how decentralized organizations can reach their goals while balancing governance participation and speed.

The platform, which launches in spring 2018, includes a modular smart contract framework, a friendly javascript developer environment, and an intuitive user interface that allows anyone to create or participate in a decentralized organization without technical knowledge.

Most of the expected proceeds from the DAOstack token sale will be reserved for management by a DAO fund, in which the community of GEN token holders will create proposals for the allocation of resources.

What makes your project different between other similar projects?
Generally we look for opportunities for collaboration in the landscape. The conceptual angle here is that DAOstack is an open-source modular framework that can be used like a toolkit for other projects depending on their needs. For an example: Gnosis playing with the DAOstack for its governance, and Sapien playing with the DAOstack for curating content / consensus relating to appropriate/inappropriate social content. You can also check our forum post for a full depth discussion on our AMA#1 part II. ARAGON COMPARED TO DAOSTACK: https://forum.daostack.io/t/ama-3-1-2018-video-ama-with-matan-field/81/3

"DAO, a term being so close to “The DAO,” has been associated with risk, carrying with it the uncertainty that the tech is not quite there yet. As a result, DAOs have taken a back seat despite the potentials they entail, with several DApps being governed like traditional remote working companies.

DAOstack believes putting such a promising innovation on the back burner is not the solution, so instead, they’re targeting the gaps in the way DApps are governed and the way DAOs are organized."
