As long bitcoin price still the highest in the market, i think bitcoin can not be replace by other coins.
For example, Etherium, it's price still far from Bitcoin.

I don't think it will ever happen. Bitcoin is the King, face and trade mark of the cryptocurrency and will be №1 for life.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
100% agreed on this, this was same as what im always saying that bitcoin will hold the top coin for five years and nothing can take it from the great coin..though things can happen without our permission and that include the prices of cryptocurrencies.im wondering what will be the markets movement if suddenly another top coin will come from downside

Bitcoin have a lot of competitors, but I don't think there are any altcoin will replace Bitcoin in the future because Bitcoin is King coin, a lot of altcoin try to replace Bitcoin, but as you know all of them don't success, so I think bitcoin price will control and affect whole crypto market

I don't think any crypto currency will be able to replace bitcoin but as time goes on there will be new technology which will offer a more wider scope when it comes to technology and eas of doing business online that could be more advance then what we have in the bitcoin technology presently but not to replace bitcoin.

In general, I agree. Bitcoin is a pioneer. Yes, it's just beginning, it seems to me. Bitcoin now as a teenager)) until old age is still far away

I think bitcoin will not be replaced by altcoin, because bitcoin is a beginner of cryptocurrency, without bitcoin will not be born altcoin. So where might the child replace his mother, let's say that bitcoin is mother, and altcoin is a child.

It is very difficult to see if there would be any other cryptocurrency that would replace bitcoin. In time past, there have been many altcoin naming themselves bitcoin 2.0,  new bitcoin appelation that have failed to even start. Bitcoin has network effect that no other cryptocurrency has at the moment!

IMO, Bitcoin will still be number 1 for the next few years. It is still the preferred choice of many crypto enthusiasts. At this moment, I don’t see any altcoin that is able to overtake bitcoin yet.

I think that bitcoin will never be replaced by any crypto because it has genius technical basement. Bitcoin is like an internet 20 years ago. It is a revolution in the world of economy.

I agree that there are no altcoin that can replace bitcoin for the next 5-10 years. Bitcoin is so limited and very rare compared to the new existing altcoins. They didn't experience what bitcoin experience when it was first introduce in the market.

According to this article: Quora
https://www.quora.com/Which-altcoin-will-replace-Bitcoin

None. There are new technologies, that will have their niche. Each crypto does a different thing, but Bitcoin is the most tested, the longest, and everything in crypto goes through Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will drop as market share in time, as many other flourish, but will remain the leader of the pack, even though it will increase less than others.

So if there is one to replace Bitcoin I think it is Ethereum long term, but there are many contenders. Also Ethereum is a different thing actually. They are all called “coins” but Ethereum is a network, with many real world uses.

I think currently there is no other crypto that can replace bitcoin as bitcoin has gain is reputation and popularity. But of a crypto comes out with more advance technologies than it might overtake bitcoin.

The problem is that bitcoin is not a technological coin. However the market develops and the price of other coins grows, but it will remain the leader. The higher the capitalization of the market - the higher the price of bitcoin.

Yeah thats very possible. Nothing stays at the top forever as history has shown and with coins like Ethereum there is a real chance that bitcoin will be dethroned. It will take time as crypto is still in its infancy but it is going to happen for sure. First the prices of alts needs to decouple from bitcoin than the rest will happen automatically.

I agree with you and I think that Ethereum is the coin that will replace BTC after a while. Ethereum has all the qualities and potential to do that, and many supporters.  Smiley

yes agree to be just a competitor like now eth, ripple, litecoin at least indeed be bitcoin competitors themselves but we need to understand bitcoin is the parent of all altcoin because initially made is bitcoin may not be substituted let alone 5-10 years bitcoin cuman even be rose very high
