I've just received this news lately from a friend and I think its worth to share with you guys. Porn site Pornhub agrees to accept an altcoin as another payment method, which is VERGE (VXG) to be specific. Honestly, I still doubt this kind of announcement, might be fake or another strategy in selling of. Also why they pick an Altcoin which is no where near Bitcoin or any within the Top 5 of cryptocurrency ranking.

I can't believe that because in my opinion the source is not a valid site. Is this make the latest increase on verge? it doesn't make sense at all because this is not the first time the porn site accepted crypto as a payment option.

Well people who visit these kinds of sites want anonimity. Pretty much this will be a breakthrough for verge because porhub is one of the most sought for porn site.. This will be a Win win win for verge, pornhub and its customers. Moreso xvg is on the rise now. I bet its because of this update

It is a little bit surprised me, but not only Porn-sites will accept this method of payment. This is the dark side of cryptocurrencies is that the transactions are not stated in the government's institutions and they cannot be seen, which allows people to make purchases either from black market.

Verge is considered to be a privacy coin so that is one of the reasons why they chose it.

I see that some people see it as a negative for a cryptocurrency to be used this way, and don’t want to use Verge as a result. I don’t see this as a problem for a couple of reasons.

For one thing, fiat currencies like the US dollar are used every day for porn activities as well as many illegal activities such as drug deals and crimes but no one refuses to use US dollars because of it.

Also, cryptocurrencies will find specific uses or niches that make them useful, and this just happens to be one use that this coin can fulfill. It’s basically fulling a customer demand and as long as it’s not illegal, I don’t see it as a negative.

I really don't like this crypto adoption with the adult site! I never want that bitcoin or other crypto coin adopt with something bad. I don't like porn, it is very harmful to society. I had VERGE (XVG) Coin but I sold them and I will never buy it again.

I don't know why people are mad with Verge being accepted by Pornhub. Aside from Verge being a privacy coin and besides being cheap, it also offers cheaper transaction fees than bitcoin and other popular coins like Eth.

Ofcourse, as the technology is evolving so do as every business through the internet. I am not surprised in pornhubs move to go on blockchain because the competition is high and many other sites is adopting to it. Another thing is other sites are having have own ICO and one of that is a livecam site where they launched their ICO and now a success. I'm not going to mention the project but it's a good one and I'm part of it as investor.

there are so many things wrong about the title of this topic! first of all it is saying porn site, it should have said "A" porn site. and also most important of all is not the accepting it, the most important part is whether it matters or not.

well regarding the pumps of that altcoin, it matters but for short term but regarding real usage and long term concerns it has no effect because that altcoin is too random. it is not even a known altcon to people to want to use it as "payment". if it were any other altcoin like LTC or even DOge it would have been a lot bigger and more important than this random unknown one.
