A short time ago in a blockchain copy/pasted with minor yet significant edits...

-----------------------SCAM NODES---------------------------
Episode I

The Phantom Auction

Turmoil has engulfed the global blockchain as petty thieves sell masternodes fraudulently.  The validity of massive launches of crapcoins, ICO's, and antiquated cryptocurrency ideas is in dispute!

Hoping to turn a quick profit with a further onslaught of crappier crap coins, the greedy fraudsters have stockpiled Petabytes of abandoned code after running away with money from auction and presale scams.  Meanwhile, thousands of would-be cryptocurrency investors are left with dwindling resources and sharp doubts for the future of cryptocurrencies.

While the Legendary and Senior members of bitcointalk and reddit endlessly debate this alarming chain of events, a coalition of true bitcoin believers form to rescue abandoned master node projects which once offered so much promise.

Wallet code is analyzed for threats, countermeasures are taken to isolate scammed coins from being used in the future, new social platforms are established and Coins like Absolute, Eden, and Northern seem to offer a new hope to thousands of crypto supporters who believe in the blockchain...

How auction end?

I have only observed auctions and never participated in them myself.  But anymore if I even see a coin trying to auction or pre-sale masternodes I do not participate in the coin.  There have been non-scam coins that had masternode auctions but the more common thing lately is for scammers trying to make a quick buck on masternode presale or auctions.

I think it's intriguing that actual developers have stepped in for some of these coins to try to make them viable again.  It would be great to see any of these once abandoned coins make a come back.
