In the spirit voluntarism, I propose we solve the pressing problems in crypto-currencies (black-lists, taint, fungibility, inflation, etc) by simply launching multiple alt coins and see which one wins.  Below are some ideas just to get the ball rolling. Feel free to contribute!

FBI-coin / taint-coin:

With this coin, you get to help the FBI solve crimes!!  You'll never forget your first "visit."

Fed-coin:

This coin is great because the wise people in control can increase the supply whenever they want.  We will all have so many!

ECB-coin:

With this coin, you wake up one morning and 20% are missing.

NSA-coin:

Every NSA coin comes with its own virus that hands over control to one of your webcams or microphones!

Microsoft coin:

This coin hardly works and people still buy it.

This has been done so much so that there is a lack of suitable names to name the coins as they are flooding every corner of the digital coins marketplace.

LOL

It took me an embarrassingly-long time to get that joke.  But it's a much better name for the NSA-coin--very stealth Smiley

Funny.

But I do wish someone would launch a coin that respects privacy such as a coin that uses libzerocoin, or a coin with coinjoin built in.

I could be wrong, but I think they would become popular, especially if they could be merge-mined.  And hopefully spur the bitcoin devs into making private transactions and fungibility top priority as well.

Psst!!  Wanna make bitcoin unstoppable? Why the Only Real Way to Buy Bitcoins Is on the Streets. Avoid banks and centralized exchanges.   Buy/Sell coins locally.  Meet other bitcoiners and develop your network.   Try localbitcoins.com or find or start a buttonwood / satoshi square in your area.  Pass it on!

Bitcoin -- a cesspit of criminal minds that are terrified of two things: 1) government shutting them down, 2) any attempt to create alt-coins that risks diluting their deflationary profits. Would you like to make an altcoin? Just follow this guideline:
first you will be ignored.
then you will be laughed at.
then shitloads of criminal behaviour will happen to try and take out your threat.
then Bitcoin wins.

Did I get the humour right? Grin
