A Popular Computer Game Predicted the Invention of Bitcoin Back in 1990

The bitcoin price fluctuations capture headlines now and then. A popular worldwide payment system was invented in 2009 by the so-called Satoshi Nakamoto. A Reddit user has recently discovered a prediction of bitcoin’s creation in the role-playing video game Final Fantasy III released in 1990.

“When your favorite game hinted that you should have bought bitcoin before it even existed in 1994,” the user entitled his post.
On the 16th of April a user under by name of 13entley posted on Reddit, a social news website, a note claiming he had found a hint of bitcoin technology in a Japanese video game, created by Square.

This piece of news is free food for conspiracy theorists and proponents of New world order to munch on. I will not be surprised when one of these conspiracy theories guys makes a youtube video and tells us based on the above article how Final Fantasy III is a gaming product of the Illuminati and how bitcoin was designed to be One World currency and the link both theories together.

It's more like just a clickbait title, since the news themselves are a real big stretch - there's just some unrelated symbol in a game that resembles current Bitcoin logo, which is just a pretty likely coincidence, since it's just an encircled letter "B". And the part about currency is also not very interesting, because many other games, movies and books have some universal electronic currency, so this doesn't mean that they all predicted Bitcoin. And Bitcoin is not even the first electronic currency, there were dozens of earlier attempts to create one.

We can always stick to that supposition if that is the case. Anyhow, nobody claims to be the creator of Bitcoin up to this time hence how come people are already surmising on what started Bitcoin? Although in my mind, I understand it is great to know the history of something, I still wonder why people speculate too much about its past when all they are after for is to earn additional income out of it? Well yes, you can say history can teach us how far things will be in the future but isn't it too long already that even the maker of Bitcoin isn't known yet? I think we should first ascertain who the creator is before we add up to the pile of unverified stories.

The screen capture of the bed stand only had a "B" with a circle around it and the "B" looked like a Bitcoin coin, but it was not 100% correct. The "B" could have been used to indicate that it was a Bed or that it was Bob's bed.

People are looking for things and making connections where there are none. Why is this even news, if the evidence is weak at most?

This is no big conspiracy theory, but rather some gamer with a wild imagination and too much time spend on Bitcoin and games.  Grin

Much lols. Oh have a bit of a light sense of humour, guys. The reddit user obviously posted this for gags. I'm actually wondering now why there aren't more Bitcoin conspiracy theorists... I've read about how Illuminati predicted Bitcoin, even myself posted some Nostradamus predictions on Bitcoin. These are actually really easy to come up with contextually, but credit to the gamer who spotted that rather obscure symbol.

Now if we found the Bitcoin actual in a hieroglyph or some ancient catacomb, that'd be a blast!
