Wemark is certainly working on providing a better way for photographers to sell their content, only 34.5% of the total tokens were allocated to the token sale which is relatively low this is good! Many token sales have had up to 80% tokens available for the token sale!

Hello there! WemarkIs a P2P marketplace that creates a distributed alternative to Shutterstock and Getty Images, who lead the super-centralized $4b stock photo market and take up to 85% (!) in transaction fees.

Wemark is  using the blockchain to enable direct photo licensing to customers and full transparency for photographers. The immediate advantages are alignment of interests, full control over distributed content, and a disruptive lifetime fee of only 15%.

Wemark is leveraging this advantage to onboard the top contributing photographers of Shutterstock and Getty Images. With the help of the former Director of Content at Shutterstock, which is very active on our Advisory Board.Wemark also partnered with Viewbug and Caia. WMK distribution - important update


Hi guys - we're almost done with the distribution of the WMK tokens. Here's a quick status update along with an important announcement on the tokens release.

Over the next few months, we'll continue our work to further develop the product, increase awareness and get the right strategy regarding exchanges and liquidity providers. Due to the market sentiment, we decided to preserve the lockup a while longer and wait with their release.

We believe that in the long-run, releasing the tokens when the market sentiment recovers, will prove itself as the right strategy for the entire community. In case it will take longer than expected, we will release the token anyway, but with a much stronger position to support its liquidity.
