KeepKey Gold Packaging

I bought a couple of these from two different places, and was surprised to find one was packaged differently than I've seen previously. The bottom one is different from others I've seen. I don't think its a fake but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

I was waiting to post this exact same thread. I now also have one of each type of packaging but can not say for sure what is real and what is not. I only load these if I buy them direct from the manufacturer so these will remain as showpieces.

I'd call or email them and ask/show them? They should know. perhaps one was issued first etc?

We'll have to see if krogothmanhattan got the one he auctioned off from the website or not, if he did then the golden logo is moreso confirmed than the golden ribbon. My guess is it falls into the "while supples last" category. I still have a third coming and if its the ribbon style I'll open it up and check it out.

LC stacking gold Keepkeys? Should I have not opened mine or something? I thought the gold looked baller so had to make it my first hardware wallet.

The announcement shows the gold letter version, so that seems to be the main version.

My guess is that the gold ribbon version was released first before the gold letter packaging was finished, using the normal keepkey packaging but with the gold sticker and ribbon to differentiate.

Interesting that yours came like that... I ordered from same Amazon seller and received the ones with black lettering and gold string!! :O

It may be possible that they had different ones for resellers, etc?  I know they have some kind of program like that....
