This might be part of Twitter's declaration of a ban on all crypto-related ads. Your account is a victim. I blame the ICO scams who have been so very aggressive in promoting in social media.

Yet Twitter has failed to ban which what must be banned, https://twitter.com/bitcoin

Maybe they support fraud but not real Bitcoiners trying to promote their own services. Haha.

Declining to accept advertisements is different from banning user accounts (which may be promoting legitimate businesses. Twitter does not take action against users spreading phishing links and users impersonating famous personalities to spread malicious links. This does seem to be an overreach on the part of Twitter.

I guess they banned your twitter account because of the advertising you were promising in your posts like:

Somebody probably has reported your account and the staff seeing you post a lot of links to bitcointalk have decided to close it down.

Out of pure curiosity did they ban your domain also?

If I remember it correctly Twitter should be banning the ad accounts and not the twitter accounts themselves. We really can't know for sure what the reason is though, as we can't view what OP posted on his/her banned twitter account.

Damn, this truly is very scary! I think that the people that run twitter are really serious now in banning any crypto related advertisements in their website together with all the other crypto related accounts. If this continues, the crypto industry will really get hit big and might get crippled for a while because this is what most of the ICOs depend on; social media advertising. But I think that in the long run, it will be good for the over all of this industry since this happening would mean that the shitty ICOs will have lesser chances to nothing in getting a lot of funds or scamming newbies while the real projects will still have a lot of supporters because most of ads will be in this forum and people here are more meticulous when it comes to investing in ICOs which will make good projects really stand out. But then again, we still do not know what might happen after this. we'll just have to wait and see.

This account might have been reported by multiple users or by some influential people. crazy things happen these days and this is one of the reasons crypto community should kick against anything that can kill the coin. many people in the financial sector do not like crypto and making it subject to scam accusation will result in strict rules and regulation like the one we are all witnessing now. I indulge the site owner to find out more about what exactly went wrong and which of the term of Twitter is being broken. I think the message is too harsh ( the account will not be restored). that look like the account has committed a terrible offence.

It's probably because their algorithms indicated that the use of the word "free" was implicated in phishing scams. It doesn't matter that you yourself have never scammed - the algo decides. There is pretty much nothing you can do about it either - their site, so they can decide who gets to use it.

Twitter also banned the bitcoin handle recently and this looks like an assault on the crypto world now and twitter is likely going hard on all the free and scammy looking crypto related users on its platforms, as many newbies are getting scammed and losing huge amounts of money.

If twitter does not allow us to do some cryptocurrency business then let us leave Twitter. We will not lose something if we left twitter there are still some social media sites out there that will not ban cryptocurrency related post. There are thousands of people who just joined twitter because of cryptocurrency and if they ban all of them then it is twitter biggest loss.

Maybe you have some other violations that are not related to Crypto advertisements because the banning of Crypto advertisements related advertising will take effect on June in which applied to the ICO only not to the personal accounts. If the twitter say its multiple or repeat violations then you have given a warning for multiple times already before finally banning you. Try to recall if there are violations that maybe you have done like successive following other accounts in just one day just to gain more followers in return, try to remember it to make your mind at ease.

The only thing I can think of is that I tweeted Poloniex and their guy MickD a few times.  Less than 3 times a day in regards to a withdraw that has been pending for a month almost.

The tweets didn't seem to me as anything that voilated Twitter rules and it wasn't a "repeate" thing.

This account also wasn't a personal account.  It was a crypto business.  It seems it was more likely targeted for being Bitcoin related/faucet/cryptocurrency related.

I didn't find anything in the twitter rules that seems to have been breached by your twitter handle.

Either it's some sort of crack down on crypto twitter accounts, or as alyssa said, some sort of algorithm on Twitter's end that determined your account was used to promote some sort of con/phishing scam.

Crazy stuff, seems like that they are just able to shut down whatever account they want on top of censoring crypto related ads. Hopefully this doesn't affect your business too much, BAC.

It's not your fault and it's not related to the recent ad ban as some people seem to think. In the last year or two, a lot crypto related Twitter accounts have been suspended for ever, and that without any clear reason.

I personally think that it has to do with large scale reports against your Twitter handle, but I'm not in a position to provide any proof because we don't even know what's going on here.

It's pretty lame to see them just point you to their rules page, but fail to specifically name up the exact reason. There are some decent free Twitter handles that you can register, I'll PM you them now.

I do not know the contents of your Twitter account but I think these quotes will benefit you

Twitter revealed Monday its plans to ban some cryptocurrency-related ads in a bid to decrease fraud and deception on the site.

Mostly when a Twitter account is permanently banned, the ban is due to the account as a whole and not a particular tweet. Plus you will not receive a warning or a temp ban.
Search algorithm checks account activity if the content is related to actual fraudulent sites Your account will most likely be banned.
Words such as free bitcoin are also key search for fraudulent activities/websites.
Generally, Twitter rules will be tougher in terms of ICOs/token and any account churning around these campaigns will be under the radar

Twitter tells The Verge. All ICOs and token sales will be banned, but cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets will be restricted to only public companies listed on major stock markets.

There you go! Should answer your question. They don't give temp bans for the accounts reported by another user/service.They are aggressively banning crypto-related services anyway especially ICO related stuff.

Ugh- sorry that happened to you- all these restrictions are getting CRAZY!

Did you bother to read the rules they claimed you broke because I can see the urgency in opening another Twitter account to continue what you are involved with which I might be banned soon because if you account was reported to have led to the ban, the same people who reported it won't relent in reporting this new one.

Again, for a platform like Twitter, I have not seen them ban and for them to start means they know you can open another one so easy and they equally on the lookout to still see some traces of what the former account was guilty of. If they don't want you on their platform, it means you are not complying to their rules and you don't expect them to give you temporary warnings.

"Hello,

Your account was permanently suspended due to multiple or repeat violations of the Twitter Rules: https://twitter.com/rules.

This account will not be restored.

Please do not respond to this email as replies and new appeals for this account will not be monitored.

Thanks,

Twitter Support"

Totally fucking random.  We have never received a warning or a temp ban.  Just all of a sudden today... permabanned.

What are the other bitcoin related twitter accounts that have also been suspended?

It's weird that they would target you and give you no chance to restore your account, when other shady businesses (yobit etc.) still have complete access and functionality to their account. Not to mention the thousands of scammers who regularly comment on crypto related tweets in order to scam people, I don't see them getting banned.

Totally weird imo. Don't know what Twitter is getting at by doing this but it's for sure a very hostile stance towards crypto related businesses, because I don't see any violations of rules other than the fact that your name may have caused their algorithm to flag you automatically. You could try message twitter's customer service to ask for the reason why it was suspended.
