Agree. When you see your family photos uploaded to Google+ Circles without your knowledge or approval, you soon realize you have no control of any data or security on the device. Or when you realize you can download an app remotly to a stolen phone to track it's location and even hear what the thief is saying and take his photo.

Sorry, I was just agreeing with the previous poster and hinting that the NSA/Government could probably reach into you phone any time they like.

A wallet on Android is currently the most foolproof and safest method of storing BTC for the average user who cannot be bothered with computer security, its much safer than a desktop client on their every-day workstation. And if you put it into a safe place and never carry it around with you and have a backup of the keys (and of course  don't root it and don't install other apps) then its even possible to safely store much larger amounts.
