I followed the steps for "How to make offline transactions using your Master Public Key" and now my watch only wallet (connected to Internet) is stuck on Synchronizing after choosing to restore from Master Public Key which I transferred from the offline PC. I'm pretty tech savvy and feel I've followed the steps exactly as I should and running into this issue. I have tried changing servers and same problem. Not a good start to this new wallet. Anyone else ever run into these kinds of silly issues? Keep in mind I've never used this PC for any other wallets and downloaded this for sole use as a watch only seedless wallet. My OS is Windows 8.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Try:
  • Restart client
  • Switch servers
  • Rename wallet file and restore from seed/MPK again
  • Look at your firewall
  • Try in another PC under the same internet connection
  • Try from other internet connection
  • Try from another PC on a different connection

How can we know why you can't get connected if you don't give enough information? Can you share command outputs?

I restarted the client (and computer) and also re-installed Electrum. I will check the Windows firewall. Also what do you mean command outputs? Im just trying to open the program and it should work, right? I disabled the Windows firewall completely and that did not resolve either. You want me to use another computer? This is a new computer and a fresh install. Set up literally a week ago. Everything else works but Electrum.

THIS IS FIXED. To resolve I deleted everything in AppData , ran the uninstall, then reinstalled and restored from MPK , it instantly showed balance and is connected now
