Hi friends. In this topic, I suggest you share with examples of attempts being hacked, deceived and so on... A few days ago A pretty lady (photo) wrote me to telegram. She (he) said, that saw me in chat and want me to help her to understand the manual that she (he) bought for 300$. I asked her a site, where she (he) bought it, and of course, I didn't get an answer. She (he) quickly gave me a DOC size 2MB.....I think the virus is compiled in it... There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

He is either catfishing you and trying to get you to download that document which probably includes some sort of keylogger/rat (Since these can indeed exist in/ even when a file is distinguished as a .DOC) to probably "steal" your coins. You mentioned that the document was about pyramids? (schemes)? ( Which means you already opened the docu??  ), he might also be trying to lure you into some kind of ponzi scheme, but there are easier ways to do so... Seems a bit far-fetched.. |

Well, guess what, no one will contact you with good intentions to make you rich or fall in love. If they are looking for help, you gonna pay for it.
Never, I repeat NEVER open anything from person, you don't know in person in real life.
I "won" the Canadian lottery twice, and I don't even live in Canada and never applied, we had a long conversation on the phone how can I claim my prize, that was more than 10 years ago.
Nigerian princesses looking for rescuers, Microsoft support.. etc.... shit like this is circulation on the Internet long before the crypto.
If you are willing to open some of the links, do it from a computer which has no personal information on it, and best is to use a live boot Linux distro.
Don't be naive, Internet can be dangerous if you don know what you are doing.

There are many kinds of scams running in the forum and it always seems that you will always be tempted to click the bait or to negotiate further but at some point, you know that the negotiation you are having with a stranger is not true. So always be careful and ignore people you really don't know.
In my case, I always get PMed by other people who use the name of the admin of the telegram channel I am into and wants me to send a specific amount of ETH so that I may be included to a big bonus. LOL, I don't know if someone is stupid enough to get scammed that way tho.

Microsoft word documents (.DOC) are easy to infect as are Excel spread sheets because as well as running macro's they can contain
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code which will allow the program within the document to scan you files or download a program and install it as a service.
Most the time you are safe, running scripts is turned off but long time users of Windows would already have noticed that things
get turned on by themselves because spy-master general at Microsoft has to ensure that we get infected from time to time so
fingers are not pointed towards them.
Make no mistake people I could write a program that would 50/50 be able to gain access to your private keys if your running
wallets on a windows machine and you could make that number 10/90 when it comes to Microsoft gaining access to your keys and
upload them during the nigh.
I would class myself as a windows expert on top of being a MCSD and even I often switch to Linux on a pen-stick just to play
with dust and will someone tell the OP that there is naff all wrong with bikers and that riding a bike does not blow your balls off.

Who wrote their smart contract? 5 yo toddler I bet. [Edit] Sorry, now I see vulnerability was unlimited supply of coins. Is this issue with all ERC20 tokens or smartmesh alone? |
