Hey all! I've been a lurker before, but I'm registered as of today.

I've been using Bitcoins on and off for a couple of years now. I did some mining and trading back when things like buying Bitcoins with a credit card was still possible. Sadly I didn't hang on to really any of my Bitcoins because I used them to buy stuff as currency!

I don't really regret making those purchases though, because I got my value out of them and I really enjoy participating in the Bitcoin economy when I can.

Who else has a similar story? Where are you posting from?

The forum doesn't seem to be allowing me to set a profile picture, even though a predefined set of avatars are available to select. Is that because of my Newbie status?

Also, is there a way I could upload a custom avatar? Predefined avatars are lame.

you need to make some certain amount of posts and pass your newbie level before you can do that.
