The legal status of cryptocurrencies has become the focal point of the regulatory debate in Moscow. Relevant institutions, like the Finance Ministry and the CBR, have sometimes expressed completely different opinions on the matter.

Bitcoin is not very popular as an investment opportunity in Russia. Two thirds (67%) of people who know about crypto believe that the exchange of rubles for bitcoin is unprofitable. Only 9% of all surveyed Russians believe that in the future they will buy crypto currency.

If indeed this news is true, then this will be one of the most happy information of the crypto trader, because with this, of course altcoin will experience a significant price increase, and if Russia open itself for crypto I am optimistic that some countries will also follow

I am not very optimistic about this. Government agencies will not allow growth of things that are out of control. Permission does not mean that it will not be strictly regulated.

I think they are already doing everything for this,as it is estimated that the turnover in Russia about $ 2.5 billion and they can receive taxes from this, and will continue to increase the current, so of course they took up the case and want to control how they can, so that more money they went to the Treasury, and not the fact that Russia

Officially, it is not forbidden to use crypto-currency in Russia, but officials said officially that it will not be their crypto-currency!

Soon, they will tax all the cryptocurrencies. I am sure that Russian government is thinking how to get the profits from each person that deals with the cryptocurrencies. This is the real reason why they do not ban it.
You are right , in Russia, the government always wants to get into the pocket of its citizens in a stronger way while doing nothing, and this is alas very bad .
If this news is indeed true, may only be used and exploited for anything positive. which makes the bitcoin and crypto are increasingly growing. not to be abused for the sake of personal interests.

The countries that accept cryptocurrencies are now countries with a bad economy. Japan is opening cryptocurrencies because of its national conditions. Russia, I think, wants to bypass the U.S. sanctions against it through cryptocurrency.

Recently, my friend was at a conference in Moscow where they were just discussing issues related to the adoption of federal laws on the acceptance of the crypto currency in Russia. Whenever Russia comes to this, but it's a rather long process and has been going on for several years, I doubt that this year this law will be approved. Too many nuances need to be taken into account when drafting such a normative act!

I think Russia will sooner or later legalize cryptocurrencies. This is a great news. Crypto is the future that simplifies our life. if the cryptocurrency is legalized in Russia it will be the reason for the price growth. maybe it will be less scams and we will be able to invest in new ICO without fear.

Hey guys, what do you think about the last news from Russia? Russian government will legalize crypto! Do you think it will pump market again?

I think it's good news for cryptocurrency, I think it's the exact action of russia because I know ico from being much more likely than a country that has legalized cryptocurrency, hopefully it can increase the price of crypto and alt. And every country should accept crypto.

Russia has been using cryptocurrency for a long time and many investors from Russia, so the government wants to legalize the crypt.  Indeed, I confirm that the ATMs with cryptocurrency EVT in Moscow and other cities. Russia is one of the leading countries in this matter. But I think it's all about taxes, so they want to legalize the cryptographic

In Russia, a lot of talk about this, but most likely it will lead to nothing. There is no certainty that this year the cryptocurrencies in Russia will be legalized.

I also want that Russia accepted crypto. But it is so hard. How to control the Crypto currency? How to pay taxes from it? Through the crypto currency you can sponsor a revolution and no one will know who does it. Therefore it is very difficult.

If russia accept the crypto then it will be a great for all country and and all crypto holders. The crypto currency has very disapointed to all crypto holders because the price of crypto are not too much in 2018.

Even if they accept the cryptocurrency they will take taxes for it. I am sure, Russia is seeking for the ways to get more money from people. The crypto holders and investors will give the country this money.

Any country is looking for ways to get more money from people. This is great news for investors, miners, traders. I will be very happy if Russia can effectively compete in this area with Malta and Switzerland.

I have long heard that Russia intends to accept cryptocurrency, but there were questions about its taxation. The state wants to do this, but it is contrary to bitcoin technology. I wonder what will happen in the end.

Sooner or later they had to! This is a good thing for cryptocurrency world that these countries that refused to accept this field finally started to accept it. They have seen the potential and the economic value cryptocurrency could give to a country.
