Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I will wait for Batch 3 when they drop another $500.00 off the price

Bitmain is really managing our potential profits for us.

Gotta give it to them though.. they are good at what they do, and must have an entire team that does nothing but calculate batch release/ship dates and miner prices based on how much profit THEY want buyers to receive.

Exactly that's why I didn't pull the trigger with the first batch. Just got one now at the new low price.

Batch 2 shipping without even a day in between the first batch. I know Bitmain are scum, and that the B3 was a gamble, but this is just a slap in the face.  I don’t think the first person who receives theit B3 will even be able to make the cost difference in that time, especially with Bitmain already mining with thousands of their own B3s.

no but we know profit usually lowers from batch 1 to 2 due to more units online.

We SAY Bitmain is always running them BUT if that were the case why when the D3's came out did the diff go sky high? if every unit was being ran anyway, should even out

So Batch 1 hasn't been shipped yet but Batch 2 is on sale for $865 less than what B1 people paid 7 days ago, best way to screw early adopters.

For quality risers, splitters or 133 CFM fans, please visit my eBay listings,

OH nooooo they didn’t did theyy... well they just did....
CRAP!

Yes, they did. 8 days till batch 2 and batch 1 orders are not shipped yet. That's what I call a scam. They're gonna claim that they changed prices based on the market condition even though the market didn't change the last two weeks.

Yep, and throw in a coupon ...
still I have to now make the decision if it makes sense to buy 1 more while profits are still high (and average the cost of the 2 machines...) I think I will, seems like I should know better , but at least with the A3's there was a few weeks between batches / price drop

Here we go again ... (assuming the info is correct) Bitmain flying by the seat of their pants as usual:

Bitmain issuing 4000RMB (628USD) refund to first batch B3 buyers in China.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3485851.0

I ordered one unit, in the UK ... yes please Bitmain let all the other worldwide buyers have a refund too!

There was 6 weeks between batch 1 and batch 2 for the A3. However, that's not the case with the B3 and the price difference is insane.

Warning ,
this link doesn't show a screenshot, it might be a true copy and paste from a Bitmain email but doesn't look like it, to my knowledge Bitmain hasn't issued refunds before , only coupons ... and I wouldn't trust this email address/WeChat with this personal info...

My course of action will be logging into my Bitmain account and submitting a ticket to see if this is true ... I hope it's true, but people need to exercise caution with the info they are asking for above...

I ordered my first A3 on Jan 16, shipped Jan 27 to US ... Ordered my 2nd A3 Feb 3rd (but you're right, didn't ship til Feb 25) so about 4 weeks between give or take

I wired them money and today my order changed to expired........ so I submitted a support ticket, not getting a shipping notice today is my guess.
This isn't the first time I have wired money and assumed there would be no issue but now I am freaking out that that I am totally effed here.

Refunds or coupons? I assume we get it too. Why not just wait a few weeks and release batch 2??
DHL here and no shipping yet. I guess ups is faster?

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

They can do this because they have had the existing B3 line up for a year...as the A.I. miners for research..they just re-purposed this line of miners with a new asic coin

again, evil genius, but there is NO time between batches ...because they have already ROI'd on the production costs etc...probably with economy of scale from units

already out the door they are likely approaching ONLY having to pay parts and production costs....the design and all the rest are already in the bank and ROI'd as it were...

again, with the 2nd batch the likely scenario is that 3rd batch will be going for $885 ...it's how bitmain rolls...at least they are still at a limit of ONE...on the other hand

even if they have 2,500 batches and limit of ONE only...I wonder how that effects a NEW ALGO coin...with 5,000 of them hitting in say 3 weeks? May still be too many...

I did not get one....just to be clear....just watching the 'evil bitmain' show from the bleachers and popcorn....bitmain is nothing if not predictable! Smiley

(Evil ..is how we roll, and people STILL don't get it!) (tm bitman)
